El Vons Steakhouse & Oyster Bar es un establecimiento de propiedad local situado en Edmonton que lleva sirviendo la carne de res y el marisco de mejor calidad desde 1988. El restaurante, ideal para todo tipo de clientes, cuenta con un magnífico salón comedor, 3 salones comedor privados, un salón de tono informal con ladrillo visto, una barra de bar de estilo neoyorquino de 9 metros y una barra de ostras. La Happy Hour se organiza de lunes a viernes, de 16:30 a 18:30. El establecimiento sirve el menú completo tanto en el restaurante como en las zonas de la barra de ostras, que suele disponer de 15 variedades de ostras preparadas frente a los comensales por los chefs. Además, hay una carta que comprende 30 vinos servidos en copa centrada en vinos de la Cuenca del Pacífico y Canadá. Se recomienda reservar mesa aunque se aceptan clientes sin reserva. Al salón, el patio y la barra de ostras se accede por orden de llegada, salvo contadas excepciones.

Was a new years date night with my husband. We ordered the grilled Caesar (excellent!), French onion soup (Also excellent!) We each ordered the Salmon, it was over cooked and over seasoned. Braden apologized and gave us a couple of complimentary desserts. Service was good. Had to ask the lights be dimmed, was as bright as a diner. All in all? Just Okay

We did not get the table we reserved and sat at a wooden bar table. Poor communication. Waited a long time for drinks, It was not that busy. They screwed up on our drinks, forgot a meal course. My potato was undercooked, I asked for sour cream and salt, but it never came. The Steak was amazing. Brought food, with no cutlery. Bad ambiance for fine dining, it felt more like a Canadian Brewhouse. Never again!

We came before the NYE hockey game and felt nice and relaxed through our visit. Service was excellent! The mushroom Neptune dip is to die for, both our steaks came out exactly as ordered and the sides were great. Our first time at Von’s and definitely won’t be our last.

It was busy but our waiter did his very best to make sure we were taken care of. Best shrimp cocktail I’ve ever had, worst Salmon I’ve ever had. Way way overcooked and it was a very thin piece.

Great table, food was ok, a bit salty. Banana fosters dessert was horrible and nothing like what I would have expected. Should have been a Rum flambé dish Service was ok, considering it was Christmas Eve. Not as busy as I was lead to believe when making reservations. Parking was a distance away and not good for dropping off seniors with walking aides.

It was a great dining experience. It was not rushed as we ordered many courses and the staff were freindly and knowledgeable.

The service from our sever was good. That was the only good thing. Dirty menus, it seems like all of them had never been wiped and had smudges of food. The food was not good for the price. Bread was dry, tuna tartar was not chopped properly or seasoned, sauce on my steak was thick and gloopy, the goat cheese on my husbands steak was just a slice of goat cheese fired with a torch (burnt on top and not melted all the way through. It seems like no effort was put into the food. The worst was the cocktails and the dessert. I should have not ordered dessert after the terrible meal. We shared bananas foster which looked like banana baby food with a scoop of ice cream and covered in spray whipped cream. Again no real effort. Will not go to Von’s again.

This was our first time here. Had the best ever filet and prime rib. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to come back again!

Was very surprised how good it was. My steak was not exactly how I wanted it cooked but very tasty and appetizer was very minimal to me not worth the money bone marrow Cristini had only bone marrow in one side and just seasoning on the other but overall great place flavour was excellent. Waiter was great, for most but overwhelmed as it was Christmas party season.
