Toups' Meatery es un restaurante cajún contemporáneo que ofrece buena comida, vino, cocteles especiales, una amplia selección de bourbon y carnes frías, todo ello habiéndose inspirado en las tradiciones familiares arraigadas de Louisiana. El chef Isaac Toups representa la nueva generación de chefs cajún por su acercamiento refinado y actualizado de platos rústicos. El haber cocinado la comida que lleva en el corazón le ha valido para ganar muy buenas críticas, como, por ejemplo, haber sido nombrado semifinalista del James Beard Foundation a Mejor Chef del Sur los años 2014 y 2015. El establecimiento está situado en el hermoso barrio de Mid City, cerca del parque City Park y del Museo de Arte de Nueva Orleans.

Del equipo editorial de OpenTable: Multi-James Beard Award-nominated chef and Louisiana native Issac Toups’s namesake restaurant is a celebration of all things meat. Like his mentor Emeril Lagasse, Toups gives Cajun classics a sophisticated spin with signature dishes like a double-cut pork chop with dirty rice and cane syrup gastrique. A rustic-chic space with a shaded plant-decked patio, pitch-perfect wines, and an extensive bourbon collection add to the lively vibe—just as a New Orleans restaurant should be.

Solo la comida era muy bueno .. servicio deficiente. Ubicación alejada y cierra temprano. Las raciones son grandes. La Tabla es 100% recomendable para compartir de 3 personas.

Our meals were simply incredible. Best I've had in awhile. The chicken thighs confit and the seafood couvillion were out of this world. It's not a budget meal, but really really worth it if you want to treat yourself.

have to say, I’m not even a big meat-eater but man this was incredible. I will be dreaming about the lamb neck (which I normally never would’ve ordered) for a long time. huge portions, wonderful cocktails and wine list, and attentive yet un-snobby service. really really enjoyed this spot.

All the food was incredible, we also had the special, the mussels, which was delicious. The cocktails and wine selection are wonderful. The service was great, and I love supporting a restaurant that gives SO much to the community!

Want a lunch full of flavor and a puntch. Then, head to Toups Meatery for a quick lunch. They have many small plates, boards, and spectacular sandwiches, and even a few larger plates. The restaurant never disappoints.

The pork chop we ordered came out raw. We sent it back and it came out still raw. Was very disappointing!

The food was incredible! Tried a bunch of food I never would have other wise! Our waiter was great but unfortunately he was the only one working on lundi gras and it got super packed and he was trying his best but definitely had to wait a really long time for our beers and to get our check. We would definitely return though!

We had an amazing experience. Everything was delicious and well prepared. Don’t skip on the turkey necks and chicken gizzards for appetizers. We will definitely be visiting again.
