The impressive accolades of Oxfordshire Restaurant of the Year and Best Gastropub, are richly deserved for the White Hart. Set in the picturesque village of Fyfield, The White Hart is the ultimate country pub and offers one of the finest foodie dining experiences in the county. Housed in a stunning 15th century chantry, customers can choose to eat under the soaring eaves of the great hall, up high in the minstrel's gallery, in the cosy bar by the fire or on the beautiful patio terrace.
With a passion for provenance, the kitchen sources food from the very best local suppliers and grow much of their own fruit and vegetables. Mark even fishes for his own crayfish and trout from the local reservoir! Cooking is modern British and menus change daily depending on what is fresh and seasonal - with the signature slow roasted pork belly, with foot long crackling, being a favourite.

From initially being greeted at the bar the service was impeccable throughout. The food was absolutely delicious and the whole evening throughly enjoyable. We have visited the White Hart numerous times, and it never disappoints.

Had a fabulous Sunday lunch. The food was delicious, good portion sizes and great service. A really lovely environment and atmosphere, we will definitely be back. Best Sunday lunch we have had in a long time.

We felt that overall the price was excessive. For what we were paying we would expect the vegetables to come with the roast.

Thanks for the feedback Elizabeth - our Sunday menu consists of 3 roasts (when you dined it was beef, chicken and vegetarian) and all come with lots of veggies - roast potatoes, carrot and swede mash, cauliflower cheese, garden greens and red cabbage. The menu also has an a la carte fish dish and our signature pork belly. I hope this clarifies any misunderstanding. We look forward to welcoming you again.

Beautiful character pub in an easy to find, quaint village on the outskirts of Oxford with huge vaulted ceiling and a cosy bar with a fire- perfect for the snowy winter's evening we spent there. Service was exceptional- attentive, friendly staff without being intrusive who couldn't do enough for you. Food was delicious though a tad pricey. But then I guess the old addage of you get what you pay for is true here:)!

Another 10/10 at The White Hart. If you're thinking about going, or can't believe it's as good as the reviews, just go. We have been going a few times a year for special occasions for a number of years now. Never had a dish that wasn't great. The food is great, the staff are great. Thank you again :)
