El Pelican Club ofrece una amplia selección de platillos de Nueva Orleans y cuenta con 3 salones comedor y una amplia barra inspirada en las casas del siglo XIX del Barrio Francés. Este establecimieno está situado en la esquina de Bienville Street y Exchange Place, en pleno Barrio Francés. El propietario, Richard Hughes, y su esposa, Jean-Hughes Stinnett, han transformado una joya arquitectónica abandonada en un restaurante acogedor con una decoración que combina elementos tradicionales y contemporáneos. Cada salón tiene su propio ambiente, creado a partir de elementos tan diversos como ciprés de Louisiana pulido, pinturas contemporáneas de artistas de Nueva Orleans, grabados antiguos y bancas de cuero negro que crean un gran contrastes con las paredes de ladrillo de color crema.     Cuidado con la cuenta . Me sentí estafado pues me quisieron cobrar el vino 14 dólares más de lo que estaba en lista y habiendo pedido el menú a precio fijo quisieron cobrarme el precio por cada plato por separado. No recomiendo ese lugar para clientes de buena fe

    We have been dining here regularly since 1997. Consistently wonderful food and excellent menu. A must for visitors and locals.

    We thought the food could have been better. The bread was undercooked, short rib dish - carrots needed to be cooked a bit longer, shrimp bisque had zero flavor. Service was alright, nothing special. A few long delays between check-ins.

    Ordered short ribs. Tuff and fatty. Restaurant was extremely noisy.

    The pelican club is an elegant, intimate location down in Halley in the French Quarter with an elegant, understated decor, and a quite acceptable noise level, even when it is very busy. The wait people, our waiter especially, were excellent, friendly and very attentive. Although my dish of short ribs was Perfectly prepared, my wife’s fillet, one of their more well-known dishes, came out cold. When we brought it to the attention of the waiter, he took it back to be cooked again. However, it came out, somewhat charged around the outside and still cold on the inside. The waiter brought this to the attention of the manager, who at least remove the cost of her dinner from our bill. However, she was not apologetic and seemed somewhat annoyed. I was somewhat disappointed, as was my wife, that she did not make a greater attempt at service recovery.

    Bar experience is always wonderful. We have been coming here 15 years every year for our anniversary. We start at the bar…then dinner. We do the revellion dinner each year. Apparently the 3-course dinner now is only appetizer, entree and dessert. Since I don’t eat dessert I asked if I could substitute a soup for my dessert. I was told “I will work it out.” I received my soup when my husband received his dessert. When the bill came, we were charged al La carte prices rather than the revellion price for my meal. Just don’t lie to me… if you can do it, ok…but tell me the truth.

    The food was fabulous. The scallops were unbelievably good. Service was a little rushed but this was the Christmas season so it’s understandable. The wine list is short but excellent and the markup was actually minimal. Highly recommended!

    Waiter was attentive and helpful with suggestions for sightseeing also since we are tourists. Scallops with artichokes were excellent as was my husband's Caesar gem. The ladies next to us had the salad with shrimp on it that looked even better bc had more sauce/dressing. My friend chicken was so good with it's perfect greens and bed of cornbread. Husband's fish filet was mild with good sauce. Pecan pie and creme brulee wonderful. Would definitely eat here again.
