The Nickel se ubica dentro del edificio histórico del tranvía de Denver, inaugurado originalmente en 1911. Es un homenaje al espacio que se utilizaba para recoger la tarifa de los usuarios del tranvía: un níquel. Al igual que el edificio en el que se aloja The Nickel, los platillos del menú también tienen una historia. Dirigido por un distinguido equipo de cuatro chefs, el menú incorpora ingredientes de la más alta calidad producidos por agricultores, ganaderos, destiladores y artesanos, y está compuesto de platillos que son fácilmente reconocibles y que se sienten simples, pero son complejos cuando se comen. Small but approachable menu. My bison hanger steak frites was too salty but the meat was quality and cooked well ( not well done 😋) The cocktails were delicious and our server was just wonderful.

Beautiful setting, many tables aren't as conducive to dining (more, socializing), all food was quality.

The restaurant was closed for construction and we were not made aware before arriving. We ate our dinner in their lobby bar while listening to the beeping of machinery and loud noises of the work being done. I know they didn’t want to lose business, but they should have warned us.

Almost 30 minutes late being seated. Only one server for at least 10 tables. In their defense - undergoing renovation so set up in lounge. But they could be much better prepared.

This is a tough one since the actual Nickel was closed and the restaurant was essentially moved into the hotel's bar. I have to tell you that sitting in the bar was much cozier and fun. The food was incredible too. I did feel like our poor waitress was a little overwhelmed, but she was still attentive and very good.
