   We waited for a few minutes despite our reservation but once we were seated, the evening was lovely. Rob was our server and despite having a busy section to attend, he was attentive and the food and beverage service was well timed. The food was outstanding (fried quail!) and the wine by the glass solid. We were even able to enjoy dessert off the menu since I just wanted ice cream. We would definitely return during a different season to enjoy what is on the evolving menu.

   We have been coming to the Market Place for years but our meal last night did fall short of the mark. I ordered a beet salad which was mostly lettuce (the server did bring me more beets after I pointed that out) and the lettuce looked on the verge of spoiling (wilted and a bit off color). My companion had a burger and fries, and some of the potatoes also had an off taste. My duck confit was tasty but underwhelming, and the brussels that came with it weren't anything special - I didn't care for the taste. This is very far from my past experience with this restaurant, which has always featured the best and freshest ingredients and perfect balance of flavors. Hopefully this was just an off night.

   The food is always a surprise but always tasty. The braised lamb shank was terrific.

    Great place to have cocktails and small plates at the bar. Attentive servers and bartenders, locally sourced ingredients, and a great atmosphere!
