Where do I start? Booked 2 weeks before, you checked two times if we were coming- husband’s birthday. When we arrived offered us a table in back corner near the parking lot or wait 45 minutes for another table. Ridiculous I booked two weeks ago. Finally, got changed. Waiter great! I noticed the BBQ ribs were marked gluten free offered with fries. I asked the waiter if the fries were done in a separate fryer? No! Too expensive to have a separate fryer. I asked why is it printed on the menu as gluten free then with the ribs? Oh you can change it to something gluten free. That is not acceptable as some newly diagnosed celiac are not fully aware and trust the restaurant to have safe food. I will notify the Celiac Association of which I am a member it is not safe to eat at The Southpoint Keg if you are a Celiac. This has to be changed on the menu. My husband’s meal was cold(mashed potatoes) The Cactus Club and Tap and Barrel have a separate fryer. Very expensive for what you get at The Keg. I always felt comfortable at The Keg but lately it has been hap hazard as far as the food is concerned The prices are very high. Do you share the reviews with Management at The Keg? I will be checking their menus in person to see if they have adjusted this misleading info under the BB Q ribs. If not, we will not be going back to The Keg at Southpoint and I will keep the Celiac Association informed. Very disappointing experience. As I said the waiter was good. Final note- it is good we have lots of choices nearby to eat and that we can trust.

We had a great time visiting and celebrating a birthday. We tried a new appetizer Yorkshire pudding Prime rib; it was a 5/10 very disappointing as it had very little meat and could have used a side of aus jus. It was expensive for what you received. Would not recommend or order again. The prime rib sliders have a lot more prime rib on them so I expected similar. Everything else was fabulous!!!!

Food was good. Prime rib was great. The lobster bisque was ok. Looked like a very small portion. Caesar salad had too much dressing. Surprisingly busy for a rainy poor night. Victoria was our waitress and she was fantastic. She appeared at the right times delivering the soups, salads and the dinners

Our steaks were not very good and had a lot of grissle in them and our lobster tails were tiny. Our appetizers were great and so was our Billy Miner pie. For the amount of money that we spent, I would have expected better steaks.

My wife had the escargot and it was overcooked and had a weird taste. We also had the tuna, which wasn’t the greatest but, okay. The beef was done exactly how we ordered it and was delicious.

The server, Reno, was great. The prime ribs were also great. Only 1 of the 4 plates had vegetables and the 1 plate that did didn’t have the onions. We did not want to create a fuss so didn’t say anything until we paid. Reno was apologetic but not much could be done. I think more attention to detail should be demonstrated in the kitchen.
