    We had the chopped salad which is a staple at the Gladly. Wonderful. We also had the Cubano that I'd never tried before. Only available on Thursday and Friday, I'll be sure to order again if I visit either of those days. Terrific food taste and quality.

    Seated in the uppper dining room. Only table occupied for awhile (plenty of open tables on main level). Area was a bit chilly and ambiance sterile.

    The mozzarella fondue was fantastic. The herb chicken with mushroom risotto was delicious. The pretzel and sausages were very tasty.

    Server was not very capable. Didn't understand some of the offerings and couldn't explain them. Some of the food was cold. The Ambiance is not one would expect for the ratings the place gets.

    We have dined at The Gladly many times over the years(as well as Citizen's Public House) and this was our first disappointing experience. I know it was Valentine's Day, but I kind of feel like I got taken. Even the original chopped salad wasn't up to the usual standard. It seemed significantly smaller and they did not even offer to mix it at the table, which they always do. All three courses were just dropped down by a food runner, never did he ask if we needed anything else. Maybe they were short-staffed, even though the patio where we were seated, was almost empty. But it took over twenty minutes to get a drink after we sat down. Our server, who has waited on us before, was inattentive at best. She wasn't around to offer drink refills and I actually went inside at one point to find her. When she then came to the table, she said, "what's up?" as if the fact that she hadn't checked on us in a long time was acceptable. I hope this was a fluke, but I certainly don't feel like we got our money's worth.
