El pub Charlton Arms resulta realmente encantador y ofrece vistas al histórico puente Ludford a pocos minutos a pie del centro de Ludlow. La cocina, dirigida por Stephan Smith, se centra en la cocina británica y ofrece una gran variedad de productos locales. Los magníficos clásicos de pub se combinan a la perfección con platillos muy elaborados. Las cervezas y las sidras locales destacan entre la ecléctica selección de vinos para todos los presupuestos. Para aprovechar al máximo la visita, el Charlton cuenta con nueve dormitorios confortables con baño. Behind the Charlton Arms, parking is available for up to 30 vehicles. In the event of overspill, there is additional parking in town or on the Whitcliffe Common viewpoint, both are a 3-5 minute stroll from the pub.
Public transit
Ludlow train station is a ten minute walk from the pub, and has firm links to London Paddington, via Newport and Manchester Piccadilly. There is a good local bus service, with several stops in the town.

Food was excellent but it was Valentines day and I think they had booked too many people, as we were put on a table in the reception area and not the restaurant. I was freezing when the main door kept opening and closing.

Lovely pub/restaurant in romantic location by the river. The food was well-cooked and presented and was good value - I had fish soup and lamb. I liked that the plate was full; not stingy portions. Meal included good quality veg. I would recommend arriving early for a drink beforehand in the cosy bar or in the lounge.

Lovely setting, dined on a Sunday evening and was disappointed with the limited menu options as no specials were available other than a pork or beef Sunday roast. What we had was fine, it was just that our expectations were higher.

Nice evening at the Charlton Arms after hearing good things. Our food was very tasty and reasonably priced. I would note that there are very few options for vegetarians and nothing on the night for vegan diets (not that this affected us). It would be nice to have some more exciting mocktail options for those of us unable or choosing not to drink, but the softs were fine. The vibe was laidback and comfortable, even though it wasn't a popular season (January) and the town was generally quiet.

Been here before had a wonderful time. This time we felt a little let down by the Sunday roast beef was exquisite as were roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings, however the vegetables were a little disappointing no cabbage just parsnips and carrots diced up and quite hard. Felt it could’ve been improved.
