This includes a BBQ, popcorn, sweets and a soft drink!! still a few tickets left. Just ask the team BONFIRE NIGHT 06/11/17This is a massive event where we will be pulling out all the stops with a huge bonfire and firework display. just ask for details, we will be happy to chat about it.

Definitely a summer pub, always gone previously where we have sat outside. Inside however, in the dining room is like being sat in a canteen, so loud and noisy with cutlery and glasses being smashed about right behind us by bar staff. Thought it being New Year’s Day we would go for some nice pub grub at what we thought was one of our favourites but was thoroughly disappointed, the food was like it had come out of the freezer and was presented that way too. Us being a couple were sat in amongst about 5 families with crying kids which I know can’t be helped but you’d think the server would of thought that when we arrived and showing us to our table that a different area may be better (there was space and the quieter side was open & in use by others who had most likely asked to move!), so was incredibly noisy on all fronts, food was rubbish and the dining room on a whole needs a good clean and some painting! Service was good just the food and environment itself.

Hi Sarah, We are very sorry to hear that your visit did not live up to previous experiences with us. If we would have known you were unhappy with the noise and the table we would have done our very best to accommodate a different table, Unfortunately due to sickness we had a very small team on the day who did an exceptional job considering how busy it was. While we had the bar area open this was for drinkers only due to not being able to provide table service in this area. In regards to the food, I will definitely pass your feedback on to the kitchen team, but I can assure that all of our food on site is cooked fresh from scratch & we do not use frozen products. We haven’t been to the Black Swan in ages. The food and service were excellent. The staff attentive and engaging. The ambience was welcoming and Christmas was certainly in the air yesterday. All in all a fabulous evening and we will return again soon!

Very helpful staff on a busy day. So enjoyed the food. Being Sunday we had the full lunch. Very good. Especially enjoyed the baked camembert starter with lovely bread.

Welcoming friendly staff. Had to wait a little while for our food but it was very busy. Having said that the food was excellent.

Arrived a little early, was told to go grab a drink at the bar while they got our table ready. I had booked for 8pm, by 8:10pm no one had come to get us, had to find someone, who confirmed they had forgotten about us. Then to find out they only had a set price, three course festive dinner available. I had booked a table in the bar area and would expected to have been told if there were only one special menu a available at £42 each. We got up and left, not a good experience.
