The Asbury restaurant, nestled in the lobby of the city’s only historic boutique hotel, is named in honor of Louis Asbury, Sr. In 1929, the Charlotte architect designed what is now The Dunhill Hotel. Today, our modern Southern restaurant honors the past, celebrates the seasons, and looks forward. Open seven days a week and serving the longest weekend brunch in Charlotte.

    Don’t throw away your shot at a perfect pre-show dinner! Tony Award-winning musical Hamilton comes to Belk Theater at Blumenthal Arts Center January 7 – February 2. Fuel up like a founding father at The Asbury; located just one block from the theater and offering complimentary parking, it’s the perfect restaurant to enjoy a meal before the show. Our themed three-course dinner menu will leave you satisfied! It’s full of dishes inspired by the show like We Get the Job Done Chicken Parmesan, The Roast Where It Happens, Star-Spangled Cheesecake, and more. The special menu is available nightly 5-6:15pm for $40 per person.

    Nice staff, pleasant ambiance. The jalapeño potato cake was too salty to enjoy. Cajun shrimp with poached eggs was very good. Waffles and chicken was ok, waffles were pretty soft without a crispy exterior. Not one herbal tea in the box, only caffeinated teas.

    Wonderful place. Everyone was so nice and comforting. Food was amazing. Wanted to try everything all at once!

    Always a delightful time. Server was a little slow towards the end, but they were likely short staffed.

    Disappointed, I've had good meals there in the past but they just didn't execute well this time. Our server was friendly but simple food took a long time to arrive and was mediocre at best. Seems like they had issues with their produce ... If it's not fresh, just don't put it out.

    Our server TK M was absolutely amazing and the food was chef’s kiss would definitely go back!!!!

    I had the "slow-cooked roast beef" and it was tough and full of fat and sinew. Everything else I was served was just alright. Also, we were seated at a table by the outside door and it was opened many times while we were eating - each time sending a long-lasting blast of cold air onto us. (It should have had a sign on it that asked people to come in through the hotel lobby - which was just off the main entrance to the restaurant, where the hostess stand was). It was a disappointment and definitely not worth the high price charged for the food.

    We had a wonderful brunch at the Asbury. The food was excellently prepared and the service was impeccable. Our server TK was a delight.

    While the majority of the food was excellent, the service really let the experience down. Our server was inattentive, forgetting our side order and bringing the wrong drink. The French Toast was also a bit of a letdown, only being okay.
