We were seated on the patio and it was lovely. The Caesar salad was yummy. The lasagna, short rib and penne pasta entrees were all great too. The The only bummer is that both of the pasta dishes were luke warm when they were served. The bar area was lively when we arrived and looked fun.

Sitting outside is marvelous. The service was great and the food was very good. The brussel sprouts and meatballs were really outstanding. It's pricey, but worth it.

I enjoyed Taverna but it is extremely overpricedand policies detract from the enjoyment. Burrata was delicious, fisherman's stew very good. Gelato was meh. However, it's really nothing special and the prices are outrageous. I am used to overpriced dinners in Maui but charging ala carte $10 for mediocre bread 8 for a tiny dish of olives and $56 for a small bowl of fisherman's stew is really out of hand. To add insult to injury you must beware of the 4 percent automatic fee snuck on to the bottom of your bill "for the staff" on top of this with no explanation, and then an expectation that on top of this you will pay a 20, 22 or 25 percent precalculated suggested tip in addition to the 4 percent automatic fee "for the staff." Either pay your staff or divide tips properly, but don't hide behind a font number two on the bottom of a menu as a way to come up with extra charges on an already absurd total.

We had a wonderful server & a delicious meal. We had the opportunity to sit outside on a beautiful evening.

We shared a pizza for our appetizer and it was perfect. I had the Pasta carbonara and it had a great combination of sauce and flavor. Our guest had the fish special and my husband had the lasagna. The lasagna was more like a bolognese sauce - there were no noodles in it, but he loved the flavor. The mahi mahi fish special was also delicious. Best of all, our server Alejandro was amazing. He was super-responsive, friendly, and totally on the ball. We had a delightful conversation with him. I would ask for him again when we go back!

My gnocchi had a good flavour, but my husband’s seafood stew the shrimp was old and tough. Taverna did take 50% off the stew but I hope they learned from this as we probably will give them only one more try. The restaurant is under new ownership so it might be just growing pains.

I had high expectations and was disappointed. Arrived 15 minutes early so was sent to the bar. Never served at the bar. Seating was a question as I tried to avoid sitting in the sun. That seemed to cause confusion. Waiter was fine at the beginning, helped in wine selection. After I was served I was history. I conserved the wine as I ate, not sure a second glass would be offered. It was offered late so I gulped down to pace with lasagna. I asked about lack of bread, typically offered gratis especially with Italian meal. I was told it was extra, menu item at $13. Manager came around later & I gave him my thoughts on bread. He offered and brought bread at no charge. It was ok, especially the dip, but had no bite. Broccolini was good, but hard to cut with knife provided. Lasagna was tasty, overlarge portion. I was a single diner in the midst of families with kids running around. Overall it was a disappointing experience. On to the next restaurant!
