Priding ourselves on our motto ‘Famous for fish’ Smiths Restaurants is a name that has become synonymous with fine dining and quality, attentive service. Our restaurants are located in Ongar Essex (just off the A414) and Wapping in central London (near Tower Bridge). Both restaurants boast an extensive menu of fresh fish that we offer to cook in a variety of ways to suit every palette. We also offer locally sourced meat dishes to accommodate those who prefer their food terra firma. To compliment the quality of our food we have worked closely with well renowned independent wine merchants to ensure we have a selection of wines that are the perfect accompaniment to every meal. The only problem you may have a Smith’s is being spoilt for choice.

    Fabulous menu, food well presented and very flavoursome. Very professional well presented staff and 100% for customer service. I’d recommend this restaurant and will most definitely return

    Went to the set lunch lunch today. It was lovely. Food was very nice. I had the prawn cocktail and my friend had the fish goujons for starters which were lovely and I had the sea bass and my friend had the skate for mains. Both dishes were delicious and the service was great. I would recommend

    Always have a lovely time whenever we go to Smiths. Food is always of good quality. Staff are very friendly and attentive. A great place to go as a couple or with friends or family.

    The food and the waitress service was very good but when the bill came we were over charged so we sent the bill back and the same bill returned. I did feel sorry for the waitress and she got someone else to bring our 3rd bill over which was correct, do always check your bill.

    Had a lovely lunch today the set menu in the week has alot of choice , was given wrong beer , side order but didn’t bother mentioning it as it was nice anyway , good quality food lovely atmosphere will be returning again and like to try Sunday lunch
