Very disappointing dinner. The place was incredibly loud. The service was haphazard and unprofessional and food was mediocre at best. There are much better options for Italian food in DC than this place.

We had brunch at the 14th Street venue. Our waiter had our table for 12 setup as we arrived. Our drink order was taken quickly and came same. Our food order was not hurried and when the meals arrived, they were spot on, voluminös, hot and delicious.

Ask to be reseated away from a drafty sliding door and an overly loud table of four. Luckily, we were taken to warmer and quieter table.

If you’re looking for a place to take out-of-town guests, this isn’t it. I had a 7 PM reservation for ten people. We arrived and were seated at 6:55 PM, but our drink order wasn’t taken until 7:10 PM. We didn’t see our waitress again until she took our food order at 7:59 PM. We skipped the appetizers and salad and quickly ordered our entrées instead. I have been visiting this location and the one on Connecticut Avenue for over ten years, and this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. While I will still give the Connecticut location a chance, returning to the 14th Street location will be hard after such terrible service.

Our server was super nice and accommodating but she was definitely working in an understaffed area. We barely saw her and one of of guests was unable to order dessert and a second drink. The food was not the best, lacking flavor and no Parmesan was offered.
