Haven't been to Sam's Steakhouse in years, so was curious how it would compare to some of my other favorite steakhouses in STL. I'm glad I went because I was thoroughly impressed. The ambiance was lovely. The beautiful Christmas decorations are kept up through Valentine's Day. Everything from the bread and butter to the salad, entrees, and dessert were amazing. My 6 oz filet was cooked medium to perfection... nicely chared edges, but super tender and juicy once you cut into it. I topped it off with the garlic herb butter that made it even more delicious. I also opted for a loaded baked potato and was not disappointed...it was worth the extra add on and the size of the potato put other baked potatoes to shame 😆 The drinks were strong! I ordered a brandy alexander and couldn't even finish it and it was also very reasonably priced for the amount of alcohol in it. The carrot cake was delicious! Our waitress Ariel was amazing! You could tell she really loved her job and provided outstanding service...even brought over a free slice of the flourless torte for my gluten free husband. The only downside to this restaurant is the parking. The lot is tricky to get in and out of and we had to create our own space because of how packed it was, but that will not steer us away from coming back. Everything was just wonderful 👍

Absolutely phenomenal ambiance, presentation, food and service. The new management team has brought this once great eatery back to its level of excellence and beyond.

Our server was excellent. Food was just alright this time. They changed the shrimp Louisiana recipe and didn’t put that on the menu. My salad was terribly wilted and wet. Wine and drinks were lovely but the service for both food and drinks was very very slow. We’ve been to Sam’s maybe 15 times and this time we brought friends. I don’t expect they’ll go back.

Everything was just beautiful. The food came out perfect. The waitress was outstanding They kept the water flowing. The kids that were working with very polite. It's not our first time there and it definitely won't be our last. We ended 2024 With great memories at Sam Ssteak House

They forgot a couple items for the table but it was NYE and very busy. Amazing food, as always

Absolutely amazing. My husband and I have been trying steakhouses around STL for 8 years now as our Christmas date. This ranks #1 for both of us. From the drinks, appetizer, salad entrees and side dishes- no steak house has had a better all around meal or experience. Service was great and the ambience definitely made it feel like date night. Gorgeous Christmas decor. The owner was also very present making sure his patrons were well taken care of. Can’t wait to return.
