   Very nice, but also somewhat formal. Not a typical after golf place, but the food is good and the setting is "classier" than other St Andrew's spots.

   We ate here for a special family dinner while visiting St. Andrews, and it was lovely food while looking out over the 18th green at St. Andrews' Old Course. What a perfect evening! Food was amazing and perfectly cooked and served. All waitstaff was friendly and helpful.

   I didn't know it was Rusack's Hotel when I booked the meal. I thought it was a simple little Italian, so it was with some trepidation that we entered the restaurant. There are times when a high class hotel fails to deliver in their restaurants, but this was not one of these times. The food and the service were exceptional. The ox cheek was talked about for days after and the whole experience was very special. Well done to all concerned. You deserve to be bursting at the seams every night.

   I love this restaurant. We ate there every breakfast and 4 times for dinner when we stayed at the Russacks Hotel in St Andrews Scotland. Excellent food and service. Plan to return the next time we are in St Andrews. The view of the Old Course and West Sands Beach is magical.

   First visit to Rocca and I can't wait to go back. The food was superb with the most amazing flavours. The staff were beyond helpful - so warm and friendly and took time to explain everything on the menu. The ambience and decor in the restaurant is very relaxing with chilled, laid back music playing in the background......... Just fabulous - YOU HAVE TO GO THERE!!

   My wife and I ate here for her 40th birthday celebration dinner. We arrived to find the restaurant very quiet (it was late December, almost Christmas). There were a couple of empty tables laid out with Christmas crackers etc so we figured that there may be some atmosphere later. Our table was situated at one corner of the restaurant, next to a radiator which was blasting out heat so we politely asked if we could move the table slightly. This was handled well by the waiting staff and we thought nothing more of it. Around five minutes later, the staff informed us that they had set a new table for us that we'd perhaps find more comfortable. This was a godsend. It was next to the window with a direct view to the Old Course Clubhouse and in a more secluded spot, away from the main body of the restaurant. I say godsend because the Christmas party tables that came in later were horrendous. They were loud and brash and generally vulgar. Not exactly the clientele that you'd expect in this type of fine dining establishment. "Fur coat and nae knickers" as my old grandmother would say! Anyway since we got away from all that, our table was pretty much perfect for our occasion. Food was fantastic, wine was beautiful and the service was great, without being too much. We opted for the tasting menu with the wine flight and really enjoyed the informative descriptions of the wines and why they had been chosen to go alongside each course. Our sommelier was knowledgeable not only about the wines, but the food also and was very passionate about his subjects! Would highly recommend this restaurant as a beautiful dining experience.

   i was expecting good things from the reputation and good reviews.arrived at 7:30 pm for dinner which had been reserved,no staff in the restaurant nor other diners;went to the bar to get a member of staff.restaurant not at all busy that evening, only 2 other tables,lacked atmosphere.staff attentive once we arrived.meal was fine,but not that good,overpriced for what was served.tried wine recommended by waiter was i think overpriced too,overall i was disappointed.

    Service was slow for both food and drinks. Fish dishes were overpowered by sauces. Didnt bother with dessert.
