Simmer Huang launched on the market in 2004. The main feature of its dish is to apply the traditional cooking method of ‘simmering’ to modern catering. It is cooked completely by the water of the food itself, without adding water to the pot. The main feature of the restaurant is to advocate a standardized Chinese food model of ‘no chef, no smoke, and no repeated use of ingredients’.

Food was average if not a bit bland! I guess they are trying to be a bit different to the normal Chinese hotpot that’s ever so popular at the moment. Worth trying this simmering pot concept but not sure if I’ll rush back.

The food is always consistently good, i always go for the chicken simmer hotpot. I’ve bought friends and family here lots of times and they’ve all enjoyed it.

we were inexperienced with how to order hotpot so the food was not the best, however the staff were extremely nice and it was a good place to eat environment wise

It was my first time with my daughters, we were taken to our seats and left. Nothing was explained and no one came back to our table. There was a barcode on the table to see the menu and order, it would have been nice if the waiter came over to us and explain the process, I had to call one over. When booking with open table I made a request as it was my daughter’s birthday, but that was ignored. Food was just ok, service poor. Overall 2/5

Thank you for hosting our patt of 6 with our children. The gentleman at the bar was extremely accommodating, very patient, helpful and friendly. I forgot to get his name, but he was lovely! Food was tasty! Absolutely yummy and very filling! Very warm and hearty for a cold London afternoon! We will be back! Thanks again Kind regards,

Delicious food, large servings. Our simmering pot dinner was too much for 2 people, unable to eat it all. I will come again in the future.

Wonderful food so fresh and a wide range of choice, my friend and I have quite different tastes and both were satisfied. We cooked a hot pot on the table, mild for my taste and my friend had chilli side dishes and added chilli Oil. There were additional ingredients such as herbs, garlic, sesame and satay so every meal will be unique. We dine out a lot and had never envisaged such a Chinese restaurant. Very modern, at a new level. It was a little complicated, partly because Wi-Fi wasn't working well but the waiter had time to help us and now we know the drill will certainly go again and share it with our friends.
