Let's all welcome Romford to the Zizzi family! Built on the site of the old ‘Star Brewery’, Zizzi Romford has used materials and lighting which relates to the history of the local area, drawing a lot of inspiration from the brewery site that it’s located on, and the local greyhound circuit. Decorations include: reclaimed brewery display pieces, chairs upholstered with canine vests, and hi-lights of colours from the track. Don’t be alarmed but the typical Zizzi log wall isn’t quite the same here, with beer kegs being used instead!

The restaurant manager here is a really nice chap and we were made to feel welcome. We picked a table a tucked away in the corner so service was a bit slower as we were not so easily seen. The food was tasty and and my parents enjoyed it (which isn’t always easily achieved lol) so overall would definitely recommend

I had been to this Zizzi's restaurant quite a few times but on this occasion I was very disappointed. We had the festive set menu. I had the Mozzarella & 'Nduja Trees, I only have two which had filling in the middle. I then had the mushroom and chicken risotto which I have had several times but this was way over cooked, mushy and large clumps of rise. I only had a couple of mouthfuls. The server come over to take our plains and ask was everything ok, I said theis was way over cooked. The server didn't even apologise. I then had the millionaires slice which was very sickly. My friends said their food was ok but not wonderful too. I am planning on going back as I put this down to a bad experience. But I do hope it is better!!

Bit loud but to be expected at a family restaurant at lunch time. Food was good a prepared quickly. Waiter was great and friendly.

on Valentine's day I booked a table for 2 at 7pm. Received starts at 8.15pm after complaining about the wait. then at 9.15pm we asked to leave as we did not receive our dinner, the kitchen was falling apart on a set menu and the staff ignored us numerous times. ended up in McDonald's!

We had booked a specific table a couple of months back as it is the easiest one for my mum to sit as in her wheelchair (we don't normally have an issues), upon arrival our table was not made up and we were asked to sit somewhere else. I refused and asked them to set the table we had requested - they were not very happy but did do it. They were quite accommodating when two of our party arrived late, however once we had ordered drinks, the manageress decided that was a great time to have a conversation with our waitress which meant that our drinks were sitting on the bar for quite a while before we received them. They have changed the menu (again) - there are no specials any more, also they have changed the Sea Bass dinner to only pepper & olive ragù, garlic sautéed sprouting broccoli & cavolo nero and have removed the potatoes (nearly £16.00), we were offered potatoes at an extra cost? I don't consider this a "full" dinner and the cost of the Sea Bass has remained the same with less food. The also recently removed the Green Goddess Salad - this was lovely - and replaced it with a tasteless, dry, disgusting alternative. During my visit a week or so ago, I had the Pinoli Pizza - Goat's cheese, mozzarella, caramelised balsamic onions, sunblush tomatoes, pine nuts, riserva cheese & basil. It arrived without Goats Cheese - when I asked the manager about it, I was told that it had Goats cheese but it had melted - if you know anything about goats cheese you will know that it does not melt very easily - If you "google" it you get the response "Stay away from these cheeses because they will never melt: halloumi, feta, cotija, ricotta, creamy goat, queso fresco." - so not sure how it melted away??? We will eat at this restaurant again, as we always try to give places the benefit of doubt - but hopefully we will have a better experience - we normally try to go in when Anna Valapkova is serving as she is one of the best waitresses that we have ever been served by.

We came to Zizzi for a girls meal out. Two of us ordered calzone but both were burnt and didn’t taste great. The waitress saw they were burnt and took them off the bill for us. Despite it not being very busy, the service was still very slow. The waitresses were friendly.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Food was great, except mine, but they took it off the bill so I was happy.
