They took the pizzas off the menu unless you sit at the Bar! Ridiculous! Service was poor, had to ask every time for attention.

I genuinely wanted to love this new, locally-owned establishment, but unfortunately, our dinner was a series of disappointments from start to finish. 🙁 Upon being seated at our cramped table, we immediately noticed the cold draft and an unpleasant smoky atmosphere permeating the dining room. The wine list's confusing organization made selecting difficult, only to find our choice wasn't available. This set the tone for a challenging service experience – our server's demeanor was consistently curt and unwelcoming throughout the meal. The butternut squash soup arrived lukewarm and overwhelmingly spiced, masking what could have been a lovely seasonal dish. The entree timing was off, with one diner's steak fries arriving noticeably late and appearing reheated. Another diner was gluten free, and that also "was difficult" according to staff. The quality of the food simply didn't justify the premium pricing. I'm giving two stars instead of one solely because I fully appreciate that this is a local business, and we are year round residents. I sincerely hope they can address these issues. However, I cannot recommend it in its current state. There are too many excellent dining options in Aspen & Snowmass to justify the subpar food, service, and atmosphere we experienced. Pros: - Locally owned Cons: - Poor service - Uncomfortable dining environment - Inconsistent food temperature and quality - Disorganized wine list - Poor value for money

The restaurant was filled with smoke. We didn’t even eat 3 bites of our food and just paid check and left. Beautiful restaurant decor. So sick to my stomach from smoke I can’t really judge food. It looked beautiful.

The staff was amazing, super nice, very accommodating. The french onion soup and green salad were very good. For the money, i didn't think it was anything special. One dish was overcooked, steak was well made but nothing special. Drinks were good. Props again to the staff.

Everything was exceptional, from the service, the food, the ambiance & the cocktails! The pizzas are delicious, made in a wood fired oven - the only one in Aspen. ZigZag is my new favorite place to dine in Aspen!

The trout and steak were both great! Very happy with the food overall and was presented beautifully. The desert menu felt like an after thought, all had ice cream - when it’s cold and snowy out - was a little odd. Also I had looked at the menu prior to going and it was weird pizza wasn’t offered on the dinner menu, even though there is a giant wood fired oven in the restaurant. We were sat at a table right in front of the door despite it not being busy and were freezing every time the front doors opened. Restaurant was also VERY smoky, the staff kept opening the doors trying to air it out. When we got home we noticed our clothes, hair, etc smelled like smoke as if we had gone camping. Not the best experience. I would maybe only go back and sit at the bar but not to dine again.
