YOI is a vibrant and upbeat Indonesian-fusion restaurant smack-bang in the middle of Melbourne CBD. Translated to mean ‘yes!’, YOI serves Indonesian fusion delicacies. We serve traditional family recipes with a twist, with imported ingredients and spices made in-house. What started as a fun humble project to create tasty salted egg yolk sauce became a turning point for the two brothers Dion and Michael. That, and a combined passion for cooking and a strong affinity for Indonesian cuisine was the recipe to YOI’s successful family venture. Come in and have a taste, we’re keen to hear what you think about our food!

The customer service was impeccable, everyone was so lovely and welcoming! The place was very clean and the aesthetic was unique to other restaurants. The food was one of the best I have eaten in the city, 10/10!

Love the robot waiter! Food is consistently good - booking a table is recommended. I had the gado gado, as usual.

We had a group of 12 for a birthday dinner. Service was great, food was cooked quick. Drinks, biscoff $8, coffee avo $9.50, Milo $7 were way overpriced as cup size was small, after ice is taken off, it's probably only 180ml of contents. Squid ink noodles was tasty, with 5 squid rings. Rice and curry dishes had great flavour but not worth the price. Gado gado was really good with a variety of vegetables, tempeh and a big serve. Crab noodles seemed to be just chilli paste from a pack, plus crab meat from a can. Not much culinary skill to make this dish. Don't bother paying $4.50 for the garlic crackers, it was a small plastic bag of about 12 3cm crackers, which we found was also sprinkled over the dishes anyway. Pandan murtabak was large and delicious looking, taste wise mediocre. Overall a really nice looking restaurant if you get an inside seat, but be selective of what you order, some dishes are really not worth the money.

I've ordered them for delivery before (loved it) so just had to dine-in. No regrets. Absolutely delish!
