Bringing the best fried chicken and freshest farm ingredients, Yardbird has since garnered the praises of the James Beard Foundation as a semi-finalist for “Best New Restaurant South” and as one of Bon Appétit’s “50 Best New Restaurants” in 2012. Yardbird sticks to the values of tradition, family, and community with a menu of “soul-nurturing” dishes intended for sharing. A warm, comforting environment lets guests feel relaxed and at home while dining at Yardbird. Southern touches add to the nostalgia, like antique candlestick holders, wildflowers on all the tables, and handmade light fixtures outfitted with Edison bulbs in Mason jars.

Our food came within 12 minutes of our being seated. This is a holiday dinner and being given the rush act was not appreciated. We were there last year and we’re delighted with everything so we returned this year. The $50 no-show charge was put off, but I allowed it. Last year they were baby back ribs the ribs this year were ridiculous. A stack of meat without a sprig of parsley or a kernel of corn with the eye of a potato. And that over priced mediocre slice of pumpkin pie was disgraceful. All in all, I will never return to this restaurant.

The service was as outstanding as the food! I was a little disappointed that I couldn’t order off the regular menu (Thanksgiving) but our waitress and the manager more than made up for it and were happy to accommodate my dietary restrictions!

The OG chicken sandwich is fabulous! Get it! Wish they had a more extensive craft beer selection, but the ones they had were nice.

This was my first time doing this event and I was pleasantly surprised with everything. The foods were delicious and I had a great experience. The host Cassy was awesome and very informative.

We are usually leery of chain restaurants, but this one turned out to be terrific! The bar manager, Tommy was particularly helpful and recommending both food and cocktails. The street corn was to die for and our short ribs were enough to share and absolutely delicious.

I didn't pay attention to closing time on Sundays so we didn't have much time before the place closed, but ... the food and drink and service were great. Pay attention! They close at 9 on Sundays, y'all!!

For the price of the drinks, they are full of ice and are very weak… Generally, everything seems overpriced for what you get. The food was generally good though… Pretty loud too.
