Bringing the best fried chicken and freshest farm ingredients, Yardbird has since garnered the praises of the James Beard Foundation as a semi-finalist for “Best New Restaurant South” and as one of Bon Appétit’s “50 Best New Restaurants” in 2012. Yardbird sticks to the values of tradition, family, and community with a menu of “soul-nurturing” dishes intended for sharing. A warm, comforting environment lets guests feel relaxed and at home while dining at Yardbird. Southern touches add to the nostalgia, like antique candlestick holders, wildflowers on all the tables, and handmade light fixtures outfitted with Edison bulbs in Mason jars.

Best fried chicken and homemade biscuits. The Brussels sprouts were divine and was also impressed with the corn bread skillet. I am thinking of using them for catering a Super Bowl party! Fabulous!

Deviled eggs were outstanding and the chicken sandwich was both crispy and juicy—just don’t expect to pick it up and bite into it like a sandwich unless you have a very big mouth! Loved the decor and service was great.

Short ribs were horrible, dry and hard fried green tomatoes were horrible fried chicken with OK waffle was strange

Went for a team lunch! Food was delicious. They only had one salmon left which was really odd because they only had been open for one hour and we had a group who both wanted salmon but one had to choose something else.

The food was so good and tasty. Seasoning, texture and proportions were awesome! Our food was hot and fresh and was served by a phenomenal server, Shujanda (please forgive the spelling)! She made our experience even better.
