   The service was excellent…. The presentation of food and drinks very professional. Noise level difficult because of high ceilings but nice space between tables. Now to the food: I consider myself a very good cook. When dining out I am all about ingredients and content. I will start saying top grade ingredients. Too much fluff…. Would be better off not trying to surprise with combinations vs content. I am glad I went but would rethink going back. It has great possibilities but need to show their abilities with tried and true dishes….. just my opinion ..,,

   We’ve eaten here 3 times and each time the food was delicious. My husband and I have had everything from the burger, pork loin, to the New York Strip and the 45 day aged Ribeye. Everything was cooked to our likely and tasted amazing. We’ve had the mashed potatoes, shells & cheese and spiced sweet potatoes as sides. The mashed potatoes were out of this world delicious. The service is top notch from the hostesses, waitresses and everyone else. Everybody is very kind and helpful. We will definitely dine here again when we come back to the area or if we are passing through. We will definitely recommend Wye Oak Tavern to anyone we know coming to the area or staying at Visitation Hotel Frederick.

   I was excited to go but was very disappointed with the temperature and seasoning of all of my food especially the steak. The desert was the best part of my meal.

   Enjoyed the creative twists on classics such as the shrimp and grits toast with the shrimp cocktail. Beef tartare, half chicken, swordfish piccata were all excellent. Pasta in the cheese ravioli with truffle was delightfully delicate

   Went for 12 Year anniversary, the food and service were great. The table was very small, about 28" round, more of a bar size table. It was difficult to fit all the dishes, plates, and glasses. No complimentary anniversary dessert at such an upscale restaurant, even Firebird's does this.

   Good but not great. Oysters were good but I prefer regular cocktail sauce rather than the green one. The brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes were good. The prime rib was tough and had much more fat than I expected. We were celebrating our anniversary and the only recognition was small candles on our desserts - pretty cheap for such an upscale restaurant.

   We loved our dinner at Wye Oak Tavern! We were seated almost half an hour late but our food came out in lightning speed and was the best meal I have had in a long time! Our server was incredible and the space is gorgeous. Expensive but worth every penny!

    Excellent food and drinks. If you are staying at the hotel I would plan a visit there.
