   Restaurant was empty, open tables inside and out. Service was exceptional, food was mediocre, not worth the price. Meat was not cooked to temp. Ordered medium, receive med rare. When paying that amount I would like to be both wowed by the experience and food.

   This was a new restaurant to us as we have been coming to Maui for years. The check in was pleasant and it dropped from there. My very expensive lobster was tough and overcooked. Not one time did the waiter ask how we liked our food nor offered any addl. comments until he presented us with our bill. They were out of several items and it was only Friday?? Seriously they need to rethink their approach and treat people with some sort of respect, when they’re coming to spend a lot of money in their restaurant. Definitely won’t return to this place.

   Service was excellent. Food is way overpriced and terrible. Overcooked and inedible. Feel sorry for the servers who have rent to pay working in a mostly empty restaurant.

   It was truly unfortunate—the entire experience from start to finish. We had been looking forward to a wonderful meal at a Wolfgang Puck restaurant, but it fell far short of expectations. I strongly suggest that corporate visit this location and ask themselves if this is how they want their brand to be represented. At this rate, I can’t imagine this restaurant staying in business for another 12 months.

    Having been to the Maui restaurant last year soon after it opened and finding it just as good as the other Wolfgang Steakhouses we’d been to, we were anxious to go back during this year’s visit to Maui. Unfortunately this year the food was inferior to our previous visit. The steak (Porterhouse for 2) did not have much flavor and really needed the steak sauce which we used. Hoping this was just a one off.
