Wild Caddis, is the fine dining restaurant at the Rainbow Ranch Lodge.

It’s known that a great meal is an experience that involves all of the senses. Wild Caddis is proud to offer world-class Montana ranch-to-table cuisine, originating from the finest and freshest products available. We use the highest quality, fresh, locally grown, and conscientiously raised products from regional producers, which help inspire us to create culinary and visual masterpieces.

Wild Caddis dining is rustic-modern, relaxed, but refined, with unsurpassed views of the majestic Gallatin River running by the lodge. House-made specialties such as duck prosciutto smoked bacon, and house-cured salamis are enhanced by our award-winning wine list and hand-crafted, barrel-aged cocktails in an environment as inviting as its Big Sky Country backdrop.

My wife and I have eaten at Wild Caddis a number of times over the years involving a previous different name, different management and staff. My comments relate to the Wild Caddis of the last couple of years. The atmosphere has always been great with wood floors and beams and a cabin like ambience. In the summer, a table on the back porch with view of gallatin river is tremendous. The service has been variable. Sometimes in the past you would give it a “C”. Last night (Valentines Day) the service was excellent: just enough attention, but not too much. Pleasant and with good recommendations. Food: I gave it a 4 out of 5, but I could be talked into a 5. I had the arugula and plum salad and a special with Grilled Barramundi and tenderloin with grilled asparagus. Both were excellent! My wife had the special lobster soup which she felt was great and the Huckleberry brined chicken. The chicken, we have both ordered previously and thought it tremendous and might be the best entree on the menu. Last night she thought it was very good but a tad over cooked (so I gave food a 4 because of the chicken last night, but it could have been a 5 because of previous experiences). I usually don’t write reviews, but Wild Caddis is often over looked in the Big Sky area and it should not be. Let me give my overall grade a 4.75. I strongly recommend the Wild Caddis restaurant.

Loved this hidden gem and will definitely be returning for the fine cocktails, wine, food, and service. Our server David has a wealth of wine knowledge and recommended some beautiful bottles for the table. Exceptional pairings with everything. Highly recommend.

Black Cod was really nice. Soup was excellent. Waiter gave us a tour of the wine cellar. Enjoyed the evening.

It was a very pleasant surprise. Wild Caddis is a fine restaurant inside a hotel/Inn. The ambiance is casual and the place was quiet and intimate. Our server was very good. He was polite, friendly but at the same time professional. He had some good suggestions on the menu and everything we had was top notch!!! We loved our experience at Wild Caddis.

The place is nice but the hotel is somehow remote. Quality of the food excellent and service as well.

Excellent service and food. Fun Western atmosphere. Nice wine list. They even have fresh flowers on the tables in winter.

Wild Caddis is in the beautiful rainbow ranch. If you want to see a top notch Montana resort please visit here. You might see a moose or 2 grazing at the river. They have different dining areas so you are never bored with the view. In the summer you can sit outside. The food and drinks are high quality offering many choices from apps to desserts. Visit here soon!

We had a delicious meal on a beautiful setting. The wait staff was highly attentive and personable. This was one of the best meals we had while staying at Big Sky. Well worth the short drive from the ski village

Food is really good but the place lacks in ambience and service. It wasn’t full by any means and yet everything was slow. The waiter/sommelier David was very polite but there was a lady that was borderline rude. The huckleberry cheesecake was great and so was the apple/squash soup.
