The service was excellent, the food was good if a bit canteen style, nice chips and chopped salad so not lots of creative restaurant cooking going on. However for the money it's was nice tasty food

Food is always good here and the service is much improved from.previously Waiting staff were friendly helpful and attentive Very reasonably priced too and the food was good

Unfortunately the food wasn’t good. The fish especially, there was hardly any fish just batter! Staff were lovely, but price for the food was a lot for the quality of food received!!

Haven’t been for a while and very pleasantly surprised and pleased by the quality of the Sunday roast . Have already made second booking .

Friendly cozy traditional pub with lots of quiet corners. Large car park. We had the steak and ale pie and it was delicious, with lots of chunks of meat and tasty gravy. A better pie than found in the large national chain pubs. We followed up with the apple and fruit crumble and custard and not only was it equally delicious, but the portion size was much larger than expected, a real bonus! The staff were very friendly and attentive removing plates and glasses promptly and asking if everything was to our liking. An altogether, enjoyable experience and one we will be sure to repeat.

Excellent food and superb service, value was very good, we had the two courses off the evening special menu and added on a dessert for £5. In total it was £22.50 for 3 courses and you also get 20% off a bottle of wine if choosing from the evening special menu, didn't have a bottle when we visited, but had a glass of shiraz, which was excellent. Will definitely visit again.

Arrived early but was shown to table and asked if we would like a drink while we waited, staff lovely, meal was the best we have ever had, we had the chicken, pudding was the best, apple raspberry crumble, Could not fault the staff. Definitely going back

The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and helpful and we will definitely return. We’ve had a Sunday dinner and a meal from the main menu and both were fab!
