White Dog Cafe's newest location brings local, seasonal, and sustainable dining to Chester County. The original Vickers Tavern has been completely renovated, and the White Dog Cafe has preserved the building's history while adding chic farmhouse aesthetics and dog-themed decor. The restaurant features seven distinct dining rooms, each with its own unique personality and design. In addition, there is an expansive outdoor patio with a gas fireplace and retractable cover. The open Barn room includes a large oval bar, a sitting area by an open fireplace, and doors leading to the outdoor potting shed. The menu includes several White Dog staples, such as Kennett Square Mushroom Soup, Double Cheddar Burger, Lamb Bolognese, Truffle Fries, and house-made bread baskets from local farms, alongside new additions.

Felt rushed. 1st course came out before our appetizers. The french onion was delicious and so was the Caesar salad. The bread was stale and cold which was a huge disappointment because when we had it before it was fresh and hot out of the oven which should be expected for 10 dollars. The burger was ok. Nothing special. Restaurant is beautifully decorated.

We had a wonderful experience at the White Dog Cafe. We celebrated my fiancée's birthday, and the staff acknowledged the occasion with a nice card. We had dined at the restaurant when it was Vickers Restaurant, so it was nice to see that much of the restaurant had a close resemblance. The food was fantastic, many great choices. I had the salmon and my fiancée had the meatloaf. Both were great. We started with the buffalo chicken dip, which was a nice beginning to our meal. Our server, Lia was fantastic, she was friendly, cheerful and full of positive energy. She was attentive without being over bearing. We will go back again.

We’d eaten here a month ago for lunch and loved it! Decided to come back for dinner and picked my husband’s birthday to dine here. White Dog Cafe did not disappoint! I enjoyed the rack of lamb and he had the flounder with crab; both were absolutely exquisite! And the broccolini was the best ever. This meal was the most enjoyable and memorable we’ve had in a long time. We’ll be back for my birthday next month. Thank you White Dog Cafe!

Our server was great. The food is always amazing here. We had the burger, the strip steak, the salmon salad, the beet salad, the mushroom soup, and the chicken buffalo dip (which is spectacular). Our older kids are home from college and the ambience is chill and woodsy. Love this place!
