What a wonderful evening - as always! The food is outstanding, with good vegetarian options, and the hotel has such a lovely ambiance. But it’s the fantastic staff who really make the experience so special. John, Nicola and the whole team work so well together to make everyone feel welcome, and everything seem effortless. I really can’t recommend The Skeabost Hotel highly enough…a truly magical place on the stunning Isle of Skye.

Quiet, elegant with great food and service. I highly recommend. It's in a hotel in the middle of nowhere, but don't let that discourage you.

Hotel itself is absolutely lovely. Very charming. Staff couldn’t be friendlier. Meal at the restaurant was delicious.

Looking for same-night reservations we were happy to find reservations. The drive was not far from Portree. The main entrance was pleasant but walking into the dining room was not. The lovely lights shown in pictures cast a cool shade of white which we found harsh. A warmer LED option would have been nicer. Initial service was kind but then we never saw that server again. Our meal temperature was warm, not hot. There was nothing interesting about the flavors. And it seemed an eternity before we could get our bill. We hope the restaurant can improve to live up to the nice surroundings. Until then, though, we would not return.

The whole crew made us feel very welcome and provided top notch service. We celebrated our wedding with the best food Skye has to offer. The venison was superb. Thank you so much to John, Patty and everyone there.

This place very much exceeded expectations. After having been unimpressed at a luxury hotel’s dining room in Portree, I thought it just might be more of the same mediocrity. Not so! My wife’s cod was beautifully cooked as was my chicken and both were served with several vegetables and arrived at the table piping hot. Nothing to fault. Servers were young and not highly experienced but they displayed strongly that they knew what they were doing and could not have done better. Good employees and well coached. Ambiance? Excellent. In a gorgeous greenhouse style dining room. No need to go on. This place was really good and we’d gladly go back.

We really enjoyed our dinner here on our first night in Skye. Try to go before the sun goes down to take advantage of the surrounding view!
