Named after the locally famous, St Margaret’s Well, itself recorded in the Doomsday book, it now nestles amidst the sloping natural beauty of The Well House Inn garden. Our large heated flexitent covers the main garden area making it perfect to celebrate any occasion no matter the weather forecast!

Our bar and dining areas retain the history, relaxed elegance and delightful quirks of 15th century England.

As a loyal and regular visitor to this cute hidden gem, I love their food and the staff are an absolute credit to this pub. The chefs are amazing, I would just recommend they change their soup on a weekly basis. We had the Cod, I would have preferred the skin a little more crispier.

We always have a family lunch 2 or 3 times a year at this lovely pub, great food, staff will do anything for you and never rushed to finish and go! Highly recommend 👍

Lovely country pub. Highly recommend. Family friendly . Have eaten at the pub regularly and the food is always excellent- high standard, quality produce, varied menu and great portion sizes. Friends and accommodating staff and the pub is really community oriented- they do a huge amount for local charities and lots of social events. In the summer the garden is fantastic.

We always come here for our Christmas get together. The atmosphere is fantastic. We all had a roast and enjoyed every mouthful!
