Book Review: “Wally’s Restaurant: A Culinary Letdown in Las Vegas” Las Vegas is a city known for its vibrant food scene, yet Wally’s Restaurant fails to meet even the most basic expectations of a quality dining experience. The author paints a picture of disappointment from the moment the meal begins, and unfortunately, the reality matches the description. Service at Wally’s is described as lackluster, with waitstaff seemingly uninterested in providing a hospitable experience. A glaring oversight—the absence of napkins at the table—sets the tone for what proves to be a subpar evening. Such a fundamental misstep reflects poorly on the restaurant’s attention to detail. As for the food, the author spares no criticism. The salmon, a menu staple in most establishments, was notably dry and devoid of flavor, leaving diners unimpressed. We received great service from Nicole. Overall I did like what we ate as we shared our dishes in our party of 3, but I regretted ordering the Punta Madre cocktail, which tasted stale. I liked the Baked Brie, Truffle Bolognese and NY Prime Steak Frites.

First time eating at Wallys and was pleasantly surprised at the food quality - at least for us. Ordered their Spicy Salami Pizza and Whole Heritage Chicken Dinner and would do so again and again. Their Spicy Salami Pizza is LEGIT. The chicken was also fantastic and the portion size of the Chicken Dinner is enough for 4 people. Cocktails were hit and miss. Traditionals were on point but their creative craftings were just so so Wine inventory is insane and some of the pricing also but felt the food pricing for the quality and quantity was terrific. Probably the best overall experience we had on our holiday trip (Nobu and Peter Lugers included). Service also top notch. Will definitely be back!

Charcuterie, truffle pizza, and grilled cheese were delicious. Getting one round of drinks was slow so we didn't have another. Booked a month in advance but seated outside. Was a go to place for each visit to Vegas, but just ok this time.

We were really ready for some great knock yer socks off food, after eating at the food court (Famous Foods) for a few days. We had walked past Wally’s several times and noticed the plates and thought it looked great. My wife loves Grilled Octopus, so we ordered that and the Brie for starters. Good Char on the octopus, however it was cold (just grilled???hmmm dubious about that) and it is was very dry! The Brie tasted good, although it was mostly bread with a little bit of Brie stuffed in the slices that were grilled. Those starters took 24 minutes to get to our table. We had a reso. For 5:30 pm and the place was nearly empty. I order the Prime Sirloin and my wife had the Halibut. Again the fish was dry for my wife, my steak was very good and the correct temperature. My wife’s comment was that I do a much better job on Halibut at home!! For the price of food (we don’t drink alcohol) we felt it was very over priced and underwhelming. Service was ok, the server occasionally checked on us, and he apologized the delay on the starters, blamed the time it took to grill bread! which I thought was ridiculous! So all in all, not a great experience for $200 light dinner, with no booze! We wont be back!

We started with oysters on the half shell and they were great. I ate the halibut and was delightfully surprised by the flavor combinations they add. Would definitely go back.
