Via Allegro serves as Toronto’s landmark restaurant location thanks to its classic dishes and equally warm, classy interior. The upscale eatery affords diners plenty of Italian flair in both atmosphere and flavor. Via Allegro spares no expense to provide diners with bold Italian motifs combined with the innovation of modern design.

Via Allegro boasts one of the largest selections of wines in North America and is the winner of the Wine Spectator Grand Award, one of ninety three in the entire world.

For classic pasta and risotto dishes, check out the truffled mushroom risotto or the taglietelle bolognese. For a more classically inspired entrée, you will enjoy the, whole fresh fish branzino or the lamb rack.

The service is excellent as the staff are very attentive but not over-bearing either. The wine list is a treat to look through. The young violinist serenading the tables throughout the restaurant was a special treat as it made the evening that much more special.

Worth every single penny; from the service of the waiters to the food and the decor. I can’t believe I’ve passed this every day for the last year and didn’t think to come here. The food came in a timely manner and if they are out of something they make great suggestions in place of.
