Utter Waffle - a gem within the South London brunch scene! We opened our Balham restaurant in 2024, our second site after our Herne Hill baby! Since our launch, we've collected a small cabinet of trophies and awards, and have even cooked our savoury waffles on Masterchef, Sunday Brunch & Saturday Kitchen!
Our busy brunch restaurant serves everything from fried chicken & waffles and our signature avo smash, to bottomless brunch & craft beers. For those with a sweet tooth - fret not as the desserts are pretty good too - (we're even the proud winners of The Best Dessert in the UK (British Street Food Awards)), so there really is something for everyone!
We pride ourselves on a super-inclusive menu and ability to cater for those with dietary requirements; We're co-owned by a coeliac, don't handle any gluten on-site, plus we boast loads of vegetarian and vegan options too! So what are you waiting for!?

Great concept and lovely place, ideal for brunch or lunch. A good variety of options of savoury and sweet waffles and also some extra bits. Really enjoyed the friendliness of the staff and the overall time spent in the restaurant. Definitely recommended to book in advance; I believe they have a walk in system in place but the weekend is always extremely busy.

Had a really great experience! Took my partner out for lunch and as he is a coeliac it was the perfect spot but even for me who can eat gluten loved the food and wouldn’t have known any better. Highly recommend and the lady serving was very friendly and accommodating

Very cramped seating and very loud. Definitely felt rushed. Food was very tasty but came out like warm/bordering cold Excellent service though, and really friendly staff

Food good, service great! The venue was small and people bumped into me a few times as I was eating (no one’s fault just not what you want). Would recommend but would say grab a table instead of being in the middle seating.

Such a sweet little place. Food was scrumptious and our server was absolutely lovely. Had the gluten free waffle which was incredible.

3rd time here and it just gets better and better! The food is incredible, as are the cappuccinos! And the staff are really lovely and attentive too. I really recommend the James, Jules and the Giant Peach!

Wonderful service even better than expected was the great waffle eating experience. Since the first visit we have returned to enjoy the most delicious and delightful waffle feasts. Gluten and dairy free options are wonderful. Our waitress pointed out wonderful options that truly were amazing.

Love Utter Waffle. I'm addicted to the Dippy Eggs with soldiers. Who knew I loved Marmite so much? The staff is so welcoming and friendly. It's a really nice place to have a casual meal.
