Ulu Kitchen by Merriman is an ocean front restaurant offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner service featuring local ingredients and recipes created by chef Peter Merriman.

We have indoor and outdoor dining options, with a full bar, and the most prime dining views in all of Ka'anapali. The breakfast menu features classic favorites like Eggs Benedits, omelettes, pancakes, as well as some unique dishes like the cure (breakfast ramen) and our Hawaiian chilaquiles.

Lunch features our signature smash burger, fresh ahi tuna poke bowl, tempura battered fish and chips, and a fresh local veggie wrap.

Dinner has a seafood forward menu featuring Ahi Sashimi, Grilled Tako, Scallops, Mahi Mahi, Shrimp and Lobster Ravioli. From the land we offer a USDA Prime Beef Filet Mignon, Snake River Farms Wagyu Beef Cheeseburger, and Maui Nut Venison Loin.

We’ve eaten here several times while staying at the Westin. It’s very good but inconsistent.

Excellent food. We enjoyed the coconut shrimp and macadamia nut crusted MahiMahi. Both we beautifully prepared and presented.

Unfortunately they didn't have the patio open they said due to the wind. All other restaurants on the beach had their patios open. At first they sat us way in the back of the restaurant all by ourselves. We felt like they sat us in the kids' section. We asked to be moved up front just a little bit, which helped somewhat. I wouldn't have picked this restaurant if I knew we would have been way inside. The food was extremely expensive for mediocre food. We made due with appetizers. The entree were overpriced. I probably wouldn't go back.

Friendly greeting, noise level was challenging as we are older. We had a lovely server When she knew we couldn’t hear her she made a point to go to each couple separately to explain the specials. Mahalo Jordyn such a beautiful smile too. The Mahi was delicious, scallops too. We will be back.

Dining room crowded, loud, stuffy and glaring with setting sun. Setting does exceptional food and service huge disfavor. Spectacular fresh mahi-mahi encrusted in macadamia nuts, perfectly seared scallops, great house brut rose and kind knowledgeable waiter. Setting however is stressful: crowded, stuffy not so tranquil for a $200 dinner.

Small menu with limited choices. I felt our server was bugged that we didn’t order drinks but then again Ulu doesn’t have a blender. I would rate 6/10.

Our server was outstanding. Food was excellent. Location was superb. The restaurant acknowledged our wedding anniversary which was sincerely appreciated. Thank you!
