In a stunning Cornish Atlantic setting, just a mile from St Ives, Ugly Butterfly restaurant and bar offers spectacular views across one of the worlds most beautiful coasts, Carbis Bay. Ugly Butterfly showcases chef Adam Handling’s passion for converting locally-sourced, quality ingredients into beautifully-presented dishes, packed full of flavour. Offering an all-day dining experience, the Ugly Butterfly bar uses trims and offcuts from the ingredients used in the restaurant to create delicious drinks and bar snacks. This bar menu will illustrate that there is no such thing as food waste, much in the same way that there is no such thing as an Ugly Butterfly.

The food is always spectacular but New Years Eve was a whole nother level. So happy we decided to ring in the new year at this amazing place.

Had the 7 course taster menu, absolutely fabulous, probably one of the best meals we’ve ever had. Excellent service too!

Myself and my husband both had the chefs tasting menu which was absolutely delicious. All of the courses were wonderful and the service was just as good. We stayed for some cocktails after which were all amazing as well. Would highly recommend for any special occasion.

Food sensational - creative and packed full of flavour. Service from nick and all the team fabulous. If you have a chance to go then you really should. We’d also eaten at Adam Handling’s pub the tartan fox and commend that equally.

Wonderful food, a journey into flavour on every visit. Such thought and consideration to bring the difficult task of superseding what’s already been achieved so well in this honest restaurant. A real pleasure

Had such a lovely time for my birthday, the team working in the restaurant and bar were probably the most professional, knowledgeable and friendly team working anywhere I’ve been for dinner in a very long time , as well as the team at the tartan fox. It makes such a difference and we really appreciated how kind they all were. Thankyou for a lovely evening. Hopefully We’l be back soon, emma PS our waitress was amazing definitely an asset to the team :)

Another incredible experience at Ugly Butterly. The views of Carbis Bay will always take your breath away as you enter inside the restaurant. Very attentive staff who are always one step ahead. Incredible food that hit all the senses! Truly is an experience eating here.

We enjoyed another fabulous meal at ugly butterfly. Everything about the occasion was perfect. The staff were friendly, professional and very knowledgeable about the food. The description of each dish and the story that it represented made for a really great occasion. All our party felt truly pampered. The food was absolutely delicious and a really memorable experience.

Absolutely amazing experience. The food was insanely good and creative. Service was so professional and we felt so well taken care of. Really loved it. Will defined be back. Just such a special restaurant.
