After reading previous reviews, I wanted to give this restaurant a chance because I know that being a small business owner, and especially restaurants, is really tough. It's a lot of hard work and high expectations. Unfortunately, it was not a great experience. We were celebrating my son's graduation from Virginia Tech and I hoped it would be a fun evening with great food. I felt bad for the server as she was doing her best in a difficult situation. The drinks were great, but only came after we were sitting for almost 30 minutes. Our food took over an hour, which was fine, but the (cold) soup with chunks of tough lobster came after the main meal for two in our party (cold mac 'n cheese with chunks of tough lobster). 3 others in the party of 5 enjoyed the elk burger, pork 'n beans, and the steak, thankfully, but the steak came out after 4 of us had completed our meals. At the end of the evening, the server did offer us a complimentary dessert and apologized, but by that time we were ready to just wrap it up and declined. Like I said, I wanted to support and like the restaurant, and I understand the high cost of food in a small restaurant, but I was disappointed and I hope things can improve.

We arrived. Ambiance is super cute. Hostess/server was very nice. Unfortunately on a place that touts an amazing craft cocktail list as well as a bourbon and wine sommelier, there were no blue cheese stuffed olives for a simple vodka martini, and there were only 4 wines on the wine list, of which one was unavailable, and the rest worthy of a hang over. Ordered short rib stuffed skins appetizer but they were out of short rib….and offered chicken instead. Pattern recognition led us to call an audible - so we left and went somewhere else for dinner.

Food was terrible- very slow service (a lot of apologies though- very nice staff- just slow). SO loud for a dinner crowd- music was intense. Menu is terrible and expensive for what you get. Will not go back.

This is a fun, funky place. The drinks were amazing and the food is really good. It was a little loud, and I know I’m showing my age when I write it. I’d go here again in a heartbeat.

Went for the cocktails, left after one. They're just trying to hard. Anne $14 for two steamed buns is crazy.

Cocktails and service were wonderful; however, the food was very dry and overcooked. We will probably stop by again for drinks and skip the dinner.

Excellent service. The filet & mashed were delicious. The girl drink came out with charcuterie which was adorable

Service and location were great. Drinks were a little gimmicky and sweet for my taste. But great selection of spirits. Food was pretty mediocre to average.

Girlfriend and I went here for my birthday dinner and it was a great time! Not like anything else you're going to find in the area. Top notch food for similar pricing to other fine dining establishments in the area. Menu is small, which I have no problem with as someone who is critically indecisive. Even if you're not hungry, the cocktails are worth a visit on their own! Ordered the filet medium-rare, and it came out one the done side of medium-well. I mentioned it to our waitress who was absolutely phenomenal, and she took the plate back to the kitchen and had them refire it. While waiting for the filet to come back, she brought us our second round of cocktails and informed us that she had comped my drink and half my meal, as well as bringing us some complimentary animal cracker shots. The steak came back cooked perfectly and we went about our meal. Finished out with a delicious triple layer strawberry cake, and upon leaving the restaurant, we left our leftovers! While we were waiting for the crosswalk in the rain, the waitress comes running out of the restaurant to bring us our leftovers! Would go back for the service alone, but the rest of the restaurant was incredible as well. Only gripe is that we were sat in the back corner booth and it was almost too dark. A table top light fixture would have completely solved this, so not going to knock it too hard.

One of our most unique dining experiences we have had in the NRV. Everything was outstanding. Staff and food was superb. The wife loved the atmosphere! The value of the food was in line with the quality of the food.
