Twenty Seven ‘Kitchen Conflict’ How would it work? Three, innovative dishes from each team will be created and the guests present in the restaurant, who are unaware of which dishes have been produced by which team, will score them individually: deciding the winner! Think Hells Kitchen meets Masterchef! Rules: 1. Each team will create 3 innovative courses within a 6 course tasting menu 2. It must be cost effective 3. Local, seasonal produce must be used chef and menu to be announced soon

The food was exceptional. The service was substandard - we were left to look at our food during three separate courses while the staff went to get more curtly after putting the plates down. Additionally, the staff walked past the empty dessert dish four times before clearing it away. The Maître d'hôtel explained that a new staff member was being trained, however, quality control of the trainee was only apparent during one of seven courses. The restaurant, especially the food is highly recommended, however the value for money is expensive due to the service.

Great valentines dinner, cauliflower was amazing and not what you expect (give it a go as I don’t like cauliflower either!). Wine list could do with a bit of work bit minor gripe; how come this guy hasn’t got a Michelin star?

The food is incredible, lost count of the times we said wow! Beautifully presented, delicious flavours, excellent service, great value and such a lovely atmosphere. Thank you so much we will be back again!

Food was fantastic, everything I had hoped for and more. Well presented. The staff were lovely and friendly too. I will definitely visit again. Top grub.

A friend and I enjoyed a mouth-wateringly delicious lunch at Twenty Seven in Kingsbridge. We enjoyed the locals’ 3 course meal, which was great value. Jamie’s food is exceptional and we are very lucky to have such a talented chef in Kingsbridge. The staff are friendly and efficient and there was a good atmosphere. Definitely 10/10 from me!!

We had the 7 course tasting menu. I had the wine flight with some beautiful wines. I cant fault the food or wine but I did feel the first 3 courses were rushed. I did not have the time to enjoy the wine before the next course and wine turned up. We also felt the food and the wine were not very well explained. To us most of the meal felt rushed. Saying all this I would go back again.

We were delighted to return to Restaurant 27 again today on a miserable cold January day. The food was as excellent as always- creative, beautifully presented and amazing value. Also the main course plate was nice and hot! It’s our new favourite restaurant in the South Hams- thank you Jamie, Charlotte and the team. Good luck for 2025. Jo and Louise R.
