First trip to Grand Tetons. Wanted a food experience outside of the national park and Jackson Hole. Was hoping for a unique and memorable experience for my family. Disappointed that it was buffet service. It disappointed based on what the website and open table reviews said but still nice people and a warm welcome.

On Vacation.....4 of us. Started off great... appetizer salad and appetizer carrots were both very good. Then came the main meal: two short ribs and two salmons. The short rib was tough. Anyone knows that short ribs need to be cooked for a long time. Salmon was “slice” of fish. It should have been the appetizer. Dessert: three of us had the carrot cake which was just ok. A three-course dinner was priced at $41 or $49, and the main course was no where near the value they placed on this meal. Additionally, prior to ordering, we asked the bartender for the corkage fee, as we brought a bottle of wine. He told us $15. When the bill came, we were charged $20. When I asked the server, she said the computer said it was $20, and that the bartender was wrong. She said he now knows it is $20. Come on... don’t you think they should have charged us$15? We are staying here for two nights, and will not be eating dinner here our second night. The dinner was definitely not a “wow.” Don’t “nickel and dime” the guest!!

Wonderful getaway. We live in Jackson, WY and wanted a few days away with no distractions i.e. shoveling roofs. Great cross country skiing and snowshoeing, very nice rooms and love the lodge with its sitting area by the fireplace and little bar in the back. Both the breakfast (included with the room price) and dinner was fabulous. We'll be making it an annual event.
