   On arrival we got a warm greeting from the concierge as always when we’ve been at Turnberry. That was the highlight of the day. We were shown to our and a menu was put it front of us,from there we had to call someone to let us know what the routine was. We arrived at a well presented starter table with possibly about 30 choices. As none of the starters had a label to give some idea the contents and no one in attendance we felt that we were in a cheap TV game show. There was an empty bread bin which took Ten minutes to get replenished. We had to find someone to ask for some water, a wine list and salt and pepper. We progressed to the main courses again with no identification. The meal was ok. We then had to seek out someone to order a bottle of wine. We then requested that our dishes to be cleared, we were sitting close to the dessert counter . Again no one in attendance and when they returned we had to request strawberries, marshmallows and clean knifes for the cheese board. And to crown the day we had to order teas & coffees 4 times ( FOUR TIMES) It should be noted that we have been to Turnberry on a number of occasion’s under various owners including afternoon tea three times two rounds of golf and two visits to the Spa under the Trump Banner and always been very happy from start to Finish. The majority of the staff must have started on the day and if there was any management they were not in evidence. Totally lacking in leadership. I’m sorry to give such a negative reply but the service was non existent and my previous visits to Turnberry were always amongst the best. Take Care Allan White

   Booked for Mother’s Day grandson’s were there. Choice of food for kids very poor pizza, chicken and chips which were all cold. Definitely not worth £30 per child

   Amazing experience however inexperienced staff at all can’t handle complaints or criticism. No wine list consistency from brunch to bar. Children allowed to ‘double dip’ at chocolate fountain which made a whole section of dessert off limits. Charged for ‘water for the table’. Amazing food Amazing location Memories made Thank you

   The buffet was very nice however if you weren't a fish lover the starters were limited. I was also disappointed in the Christmas decor or lack of it. Last time I was there in December the place was decorated with gingerbread houses and lovely foliage.. this year there were only a few trees dotted around ..same ones they've had for year. Coming in the main entrance there was nothing outside and the hedges were all covered in a green tarpauline. Very disappointed. I expected more from a hotel of this standard

   We went for a family afternoon Sunday special events lunch. Everything was 5 stars the food the service the staff the ballroom the hotel the views everything was just fabulous. Would definitely book again.

    Had a lovely day at Sunday brunch for my friends birthday. The food was amazing, the view were lovely and we really enjoyed the buffet style for all courses. We had a 1pm table booked and it was very quiet when we arrived but got busy by the time we left so I'm glad we went at that time. I have a nut allergy so they had a chef come out and go through every dish that did contain nuts (there wasn't many, so that was good) We travelled 1½ hours to get to Turnberry but was definitely worth the road trip.
