Welcome to the True Wild Distilling Bar & Restaurant, A live-fire restaurant nestled between towering whisky and gin stills inside a stunning heritage building. High-quality proteins and sustainable vegetables dishes are infused with the unique flavour profile that only charcoal can impart. True Wild is a hidden gem…from approaching and seeing the gorgeously restored building, fire bowls in an unexpected location…the distillery is a work of art and the food is five stars. It is a must on the foodie list. Do it sooner than later…

Cool place, someone put a lot of commitment and soul into the vision. A+ food & libations, service was good. Don’t let the location deter you, worth checking out. We’ll be back!

Absolutely outstanding! The food was amazing, simple but robust flavours. The cocktails were perfectly mixed and some of the best Martini’s I’ve ever had. The building, inside and out, provides beautiful ambience and fits perfectly with the philosophy of the Distillery. I have already booked my next reservation and cannot wait to go back. Thank you for adding another amazing distillery and restaurant to Calgary!

Beautiful space. Food was great, cocktails were fantastic. We sat at the bar and loved it. Service staff and bartenders were very friendly and knowledgable. High end spot but still chill, no pretentiousness. Highly recommend, well worth the trip. Will be back! Thank you for bringing this beautiful space to life for Calgary.

Great cocktail program and well-executed service. Food tasted good, but when paying $20 for a burger with no side I would expect it to show up on something other than a side plate. Braised lamb was below room temp, again with no side, for $50. Would not recommend

We sat at the bar and had the best oysters I’ve ever had! The place was completely full on a Tuesday. I’d suggest making a reservation here. Thanks Matt for taking such great care of us. Absolute best experience.

The food was exceptional. We had the beef tartar, raw oysters, beet salad, brussel sprout salad, trout filet, lamb shoulder and ribs. Nothing disappointed!!!
