Servers were slow and took them 20 minutes to notice no silverware and server was good to refuel our drinks without asking. The food took a long time to we dined for over 3.5 hours

We originally tried this place a year ago and had an amazing experience. Everything was perfect - the food, the service, the ambiance. Unfortunately, our second visit was less amazing. We came back for our Valentine's Day dinner and booked a late reservation to avoid the crowds. By the time we were seated, most of the restaurant had cleared out or was in the process of clearing out, so it really wasn't busy. Nonetheless, our server failed to bring out our appetizer early so we had to eat it with our meal, causing our meal to cool down. We also asked for hot sauce, which never came, so 15 minutes later we reminded our server. It was another 10 minutes before he finally brought it out. By then our food was not warm at all. We didn't say anything because the server was nice and the restaurant was closing soon so we decided to just eat it as is. We were less than impressed with the taste of our food this time as well. Lacked flavor (hence the need for hot sauce). We were a little shocked to get the bill and see they charged us for the hot sauce. I can't believe a restaurant is seriously going to charge for a condiment. It was only a dollar but that means it probably cost them less than $.50 to make, which means they are REALLY cheap if they feel the $20+ plates isn't enough to cover the cost of a $.50 condiment. More than anything, we didn't appreciate not being told when we ordered as these things are assumed to be free. Good customer service would be advising the customer that there is an additional charge for something before ordering it. It was the lack of this courtesy that offended us. On top of that, our server didn't bother to box our leftovers for us but then did for the table next to us (they did the first time we visited a year ago too), which kind of added to the feeling that our table was somehow less valued than the others in the restaurant. My wife used to send everyone here but she left Friday saying she is going to look for a new favorite restaurant.

A great choice for Valentine. Not a fancy, overpriced dinner, but a healthy and delicious meal. Kacey, our server, was pleasant, efficient, and knowledgeable. The butternut squash, the market salad and the dumplings were exceptional. Finally, the flourless chocolate a memorable finish.

Great Valentine's Day experience. The reservation was easy to make online and a staff member called the morning of to confirm that the reservation was still needed. We arrived, valet parked, walked right in, and were seated immediately. The waitress was friendly and informative. The menu had great options and the items we chose did not disappoint. The prices on the food were very reasonable, but a small glass of Riesling wine did cost $17, which is a bit high. Overall, a great experience and I would definitely go back.

This was some of the best restaurant food I have ever had. Our waiter I believe his name was Hunter was very helpful. I think my wife and I have a new favorite restaurant. It’s about time somebody provides food that’s not full of chemicals and cheap garbage!

As always, the service was great. The hostess was ready for us, and our server appeared within minutes. Her recommendations were on point, and she ensured everything was as expected. She even made fresh coffee for me. The food was better than expected (I had the lasagna, my friend had the meatloaf, and we both cleaned our plates)! True Food is one of the best dining experiences in Jax: clean, bright, beautiful space; clean, delicious, affordable food; friendly and knowledgeable staff. Keep it up!

I enjoy the healthy options and this restaurant is seed oil free! This was my second time to this location, in St Johns Town Square, Jacksonville FL... I have to say my experience today was not great. Our server proceeded to tell me that the childrens menu is for ages 10 and under only and kept saying it as we had 5 children with us, Four adults ordering from an adult menu. Some under the age 10 and some not. I have never had this issue in the past, and it is NOT listed anywhere on the adult menu or the kids menu as to an age restriction. On top of our server pestering us as to an age restriction... our food took over 50 minutes to arrive and we noticed not one table around us had their food either. Most were seated after us. Our drinks were not refilled and my husband had to ask him after we watched our waiter refill the table next to us with iced tea and didn't even check on us. Maybe he was busy... but the overall experience has made my husband not want to go back. Honestly my biggest complaint was the intense and unnecessary restriction put on the youth not ordering from the kids menu. If you want our business then either list the age restriction or who cares if my 3 daughters order from the kids menu or not. They are children who are under 16 and might only eat the amount of a child. You will loose the business of a family of 5 simply over being rude when it isn't even listed.... not necessary.

We had a wonderful time with the only issue, not enough burgers were available for everyone. Food and service were great.
