True Food Kitchen is a chef-driven restaurant and scratch bar that was founded by Dr. Andrew Weil, the pioneer of integrative medicine, to provide food that tastes great and is good for you. Server was non existent for us. The table next to us came way after us, ordered after us and yet received their food 30 min before us. We literally waited over 45 for our order. I kept looking for our server who was never in the room. When I finally flagged him down after 40min he says yea any min I saw your pancakes come out the other stuff will be soon. He returns a few min late with our plates. My pancakes were literally cold. Plate wasn’t even warm. The other people at my table had cold eggs. I was going to say something but yet again our server was MIA. We ate because we were all so hungry. He comes back after 45 min asks finally if we’d like some water never offered when we arrived. Took him 10 min to bring that glass of water. Another 1/2 hour to find him for the check. My reservation was 11:30. Open table emailed me saying I was a no show. I was not obviously. Guess when we finally left 2:45. Not because I was in deep conversation with my group but because the service was non existent.

For some reason this place does not get it right with requests and food and drinks has to be sent back. No fault to the server but the bar and kitchen need to listen better.

I was so happy to find a place where my son could eat due to his allergies. Not only did we enjoy our dinner entrees, but we returned for a delicious brunch the next day. The vibe was great, and our servers were outstanding. We will definitely return!

Overall, we had a mediocre dining experience. The food was quite disappointing, and we would not return. The drinks were average, and the service was a bit disjointed. We could have gone to a much better restaurant for $170 (two adults and a child).

I love the consistency of the food. We go to the one in Boca all the time, like 2-3 times a week. Bring back the Peruvian black rice dish !
