The food and service were top notch. It was a Saturday night and it was LOUD! We’ve been there before for dinner in late August and it was quiet and cozy. When we went to order two at our table selected the scallops from the menu not from the special sheet. But they were out of the risotto and it wasn’t offered. Only the scallops on the special that were paired with lentils. We chose other items and they were good.

The fish dishes were slightly over cooked. The calamari was phenomenal, and the service was good.

Our first time here, driving 100 miles after seeing it featured on TV. Situated in an old bank, the decor and layout were very different and interesting. The music was late 60’s, early 70’s, which we enjoyed. Our server Dennis was a Portsmouth native who gave us some great ideas about visiting the local sites in a very historic area. We stuck with Italian wine by the glass to try a selection and vary with the course of the meal, they were all very good. Started with seared tuna, nicely done. The filet and ribeye entrees also perfectly cooked. Ribeye slightly gristly but within reason. Bolognese seemed very lightly sauced compared to others we’ve tried, but tasty, with fresh homemade pasta. Overall a good experience. Would return when we’re in the area again.

We had a wonderful experience at Toscana. The food was delicious, our server was excellent, and they truly made up feel special celebrating our one year anniversary. Highly recommend!

Tara was an excellent server. Scallop entree & mixed grill entree were fabulous. Pasta bolognese was fair - not enough sauce and what sauce there was had very little meat. Hazelnut crème brûlée - so good!!

For context this meal, for three, cost $350 with tip. We had a reservation that the restaurant contacted me twice about to confirm, for 7:45. We didn’t get seated till after 8 PM. I had the ribeye, my wife the mixed grill, and my daughter the swordfish. My daughter wanted risotto but none was available. Food came warm and not hot as expected. Though tasty, for a place that purports to be higher end, it should have been hot. Our drinks were good and I had a very well made martini. For dessert I asked for cheesecake and again, none to be had. Afterwards I went to the men’s room and when I went to wash my hands and reached for soap… again, none to be had. So lots left me wanting. It was ok but clearly not great, and especially for the amount of money I paid.
