Tired of the loosely French inspired humdrum of restaurants popping up across the city of London? Do you like holidays? Do you like cold drinks and warm service? If you've answered yes to one or more of these then perhaps Tollington's can refresh both your pallet and your mind

The idea came from a mirror in an antiques market and a love for a more informal approach to dining, the result a chippy in North London with church pews bolted to the walls to be leaned on and eaten from. The focus is on fish but the menu transcends just fish, leaving no stone unturned in the never ending quest for flavour

Split between two rooms, the kitchen and bar shared by customers as they perch on bar stools and enjoy dinner and a show. The back room - lower lighting, lower seating, a slight calm compared to the front room. Works of art from friends of the restaurant adorn the walls and floors

We were so excited to come but the service was terrible and the dining area smelled like the loo. The food was good but the overall experience was disappointing.

Fantastic food and some great recommendations from the team. A little tight on the bar, but the plates are small and get cleared quickly. Highly recommend.

We found this place to be very overrated. The bread was stale. Some of the fish was raw (which was not designed to be). Only one brand of white wine on the menu. We had to find our menu and it was extremely loud.

A quirky fish and chip shop facade to a hip tapas style menu. Really good and interesting food, enthusiastic service and fairly priced. Will go again.

Tollington's is one of the only places I have any desire to leave a review for. It is incredible. First and foremost outstanding service from every member of the team to impeccable dishes served precisely on time. I cannot recommend the scallop and potatoes bravas enough, and don't get me started on everything else. 11/10

Squid and Cod cheeks were to die for. Staff were really friendly and service was quick. Chips Bravas were a bit of a miss for us but overall very good experience.
