El Tokio Pub combina los variados sabores de la gastronomía de pub estadounidense con la gastronomía japonesa y ofrece un salón comedor de tonalidades variadas con música animada, un servicio amable y un ambiente divertido. El Tokio Pub sirve almuerzos, cenas y cócteles y está situado en Schaumburg, en el centro comercial Streets of Woodfield, junto al Shaw's Crab House. Su exclusivo menú de platillos de pub combina sabores de Japón, Latinoamérica y Estados Unidos e incluye sushi, tacos y el plato de la casa, el Hot Rock. First impressions: Ambiance was okay. We were seated at a a table so very close to another table that is was a bit uncomfortable. Thinking back, I should have asked for our party to be moved (or the table be pushed further away). Food: The menu was limited. We ordered the pork belly buns - those were 5 stars. EXCELLENT! The pot stickers were worth ordering too - very tasty. The rolls, however were just "eh" (unremarkable). We ordered the rainbow roll, red dragon roll and the spicy tuna roll. Value: Our bill for the four of us with 3 appetizers (2 pork buns and 1 potstickers), 1 alcoholic beverage, 2 sodas, 3 sushi rolls, 2 ice cream desserts, 1 beignet order (which included 4 donut holes), and 4 coffees was $160. Service: It took awhile before a server came but she was very nice. I do need to mention though... when we got the bill we asked for it to be split in half. But each check was significantly more that what it should have been. They corrected it but I felt I needed to mention that. What if we didn't catch it the mistake? Other: the bathrooms are out of the way. You literally have to walk through another restaurant and up a long flight of stairs to get to them. Parking: There is a lot that is shared by a few other establishments. We had 6:30 reservations on a busy Saturday night. We only had to wait about 5 minutes before a space freed up.

Hostess and waitress were incredibly friendly and attentive. We dined with 2 children and they were kind and awesome with our party. Food was delicious - some of the tastiest sushi I've ever had. I had the ramen. Yummy and simple but easily spiced up when I asked for some of the chili oil--- that really took it up a notch for my taste buds! My older son really enjoyed the ramen burger. Will be back!

We made a reservation for a dinner date at 8:30 and did not realize they close at 9- we tried to keep our visit short so I don’t think we got the full experience. I would say the food taste and quality was exceptional, and the servers were so pleasant. However, you could definitely tell they just wanted to get out of there. In the future maybe a heads up about closing time before allowing a reservation so late would be nice for the sake of the employees and guests! We got the hot stone fillet mignon and ahi tuna; both were full of flavor and fun to cook your own meat. The marinades offered with the dish were also very tasty. I do think the portion size is rather small and I wish that it came with rice instead of having to order separately. Overall it was a good experience and I would return to try out some other dishes they have to offer.

This place was our absolute favorite restaurant to go to with my daughter. The menu has changed as well as the food. Our food was not that great. In addition we placed 2 orders of our favorite dessert the beinets and they were raw. So gross. The waiter took them off our bill and said "looks like they weren't cooked enough." Instead he could have offered to have them made again. This is unfortunate as they definitely lost our business.
