Cathy Ortega & Gerald Aquintey didn't know what to expect after finally opening up a Filipino small grocery & takeout joint together. The shop was doing great but they wanted to do more. They wanted to give Toronto a much more authentic Filipino taste and experience without the price of a flight to the Philippines. Kamayan / Boodle Fight (the formality of eating with your hands) was the obvious solution.

Food is excellent; expect a minimum order of two. Waitresses are extremely busy yet friendly and efficient. Expect to wait in line even if you have reserved a table.

One of the servers is rude lol. Cannot even say “excuse me” when he was serving the food. I wouldn’t mind if she asked one of us to stand so she can properly serve the food but the way she approached us is not it. Orher servers ade fine.

Fun experience with our friends! Food was delicious, we were checked on a good amount of times, music wasn't too loud, and it was nice and clean. We did kamayan and the value was good!

First time trying Filipino food and I'll definitely come back!! Love the garlic rice sooo much and all the grilled meat & seafood. The experience of having them setup the dishes on top of banana leaves on the table is so unique and fascinating.

Lovely old school 2000s music brings back nolstagic vibes. Food was delicious, garlic rice was bomb. Halo halo is a must have.

We loved Tinuno! Cute little place with great food and friendly service. We had the kamayan and there was plenty of food for $25 per person. We are already planning our next visit. It's worth the drive from Mississauga.
