ThirstyBear serves only sustainable harvested seafood; all natural meats free of growth hormones & synthetic additives; and local organic seasonal produce.

ThirstyBear recycles all paper, glass, aluminum & plastic. We compost all organic matter; we recycle our cooking oil into biodiesel. Our menu paper is post consumer recycled; our to-go containers are recyclable or compostable. We use energy efficient lighting, heating, cooling & conserve water in the brewery & restaurant.

Great environment and the staff was excellent and very understanding. The food was delicious and service timing, 👍. My second visit and I’m planning another one soon.

The food was super yummy! The service staff was subpar, except for the poor expeditor who was running around like crazy to make up for the waitress

I always come here when I go to the Yerba Buena Theater before a show. It’s easy to schedule a reservation on open table. It can be noisy in the front area especially on a Friday evening but there is an area in the back that’s quieter to converse. The food is super tasty. The tapas portions maybe small for some but just right for me. I usually order beer but ordered a specialty drink of wheat beer & vodka. It was refreshing but could hardly taste the alcohol. Our waitress was fabulously friendly. I wish I could remember her name but I gave her 25% tip because it was well deserved. It’s my “go to” place because walking distance to theater, prompt service and tasty food.

Disappointed in the vegetarian paella, but it was the first time to try it as my guest required it. It may be the customary style for vegetarians to eat tasteless dishes. I’ll stick with their superb non-vegetarian version.

We were seated in the back at the tables by the kitchen and not in the main area. For food, we ordered the Valenciana Paella. It was presented well, was more than enough for two people and a good mix of seafood and Chicken/Chorizo. It was super salty though and, mixed with the spices, made you very thirsty. The calamares fritos was cooked well although a little more rosemary would have been in order. Overall, I think it's a great place for a bear and to watch a game, but the kitchen needs to step up it's game to compete in the area.

Lots of interesting beers to choose from, food menu is good, not great. They had a charcuterie plate but no prosciutto, which was a disappointment. The room is large, therefore sound carries.

Had a great business/investor meeting at the Thirsty Bear and the food,beer and ambiance were a big hit. Tapas menu was very good and the beers are always on point. Investors had a good time and wanted to come back as they are big beer-o-files and loved the craft beer selection. Thanks TB
