   Booked table a couple of days before for an anniversary dinner. When we arrived the Yass Hotel was shut and there was no notices advising why. So we went up to the Club House hotel and had a very nice meal.

   Arrived and was told we did not have a booking despite showing booking confirmation, Food was very average nothing special for the pricing, The place has been decorated very modern and trendy however the atmosphere of the place was very dull and uninviting, The court yard could be made a awesome place for families if there was something for the kids ie Chalkboard, hopscotch or outdoor games such as ring toss or something along those lines as there is plenty of room

   Better than average pub food - dining room is contemporary although the pub is very old. Lovely decor but probably a bit bright - but they are planning to change all the globes and get the place feeling cosier. It was nevertheless incredibly pleasant

   We attempted to order dessert on Wednesday evening at 8:35 and were told the kitchen was closed (no staff offered us dessert prior to this!). We tried twice being very polite to no avail. There were still guests waiting on their mains so obviously it was not closed - the advertisement for the Mexican night also clearly says 5-9... two orders of churros should not be that difficult. Would not recommend based on service and the quality of the meal!

   So disappointed. No pizzas available...ordered an Expresso Martini...not available....asked for a cosmopolitan....no cranberry juice. No vegetables on the menu!! We left without eating and went elsewhere.
