The Whitman–an all-new restaurant concept by Bal Harbour Shops, designed exclusively for the Bal Harbour Shops Access Pop-up. The Whitman name draws inspiration from The Whitman by The Sea– a luxury Miami Beach hotel owned by the Whitman family in the 1940s.
The Whitman brings the iconic dining experience of Bal Harbour Shops to life through its breezy indoor-outdoor space. Evoking a decadent lifestyle of leisure, the palm-framed courtyard retains the idyllic al fresco environment of the Shops. With a menu featuring Latin-inspired flavors and comforting classics, The Whitman will keep you coming back.

The 2 Ribeyes were not seared properly as the presentation was lacking. Krispy Chicken and Caesar Salad were very good. We enjoyed having Luis as our server, and we highly recommend him.

It was great, but unfortunately they have syop serving because they are near the date of shutting down the pop up store. I was not able to try several items on the menu.

I went for the high tea event. I ate there a couple weeks prior and the food was amazing, so I was very excited for the high tea experience. The food was mediocre. The bread for the tea sandwiches was dried out, the fillings to the sandwiches were warm. The scones were caky, and the most disappointing part was they were out of macaroons. The replacement desserts was a banana bread, which was very good and some form of cake pop which was very thick and lacked flavor. My server though very lovely seemed to disappear once my food was brought, and I didn’t see her again for about 30mins afterwards. Overall, my second experience was disappointing, especially for the cost of it all.

Great lunch. Caesar salad with white anchovies so delish. Too bad they will be leaving after October 17. Everyone so helpful and fun.

The experience was great. The food was better than I expected. Each dish we had was delicious. The portion sizes were enough two.

Our whole crew was impressed and surprised with the quality of the food, atmosphere and service considering we dining at the pop up event. To be a portable set up, we could not tell at all. Bravo to everyone who made the pop up and our experience with the Whitman a success.
