Amazing roast, ate the entire plate! (Could maybe be slightly bigger) but it was wonderful! Only scoring this down as it’s cold in the dining room, but really warm upstairs! Cost wise on the side of a pricey roast £££ but it was delicious!!

Great service and ambience. Had three Sunday lunches... All the trimmings and sides were lovely but meat portions were a quite small and very fatty. What there was was tasty but could have been better.

It was my husband’s 60th birthday and we had booked the table back in November. I had emailed the restaurant asking if they could have a bottle of non alcoholic fizz to welcome us. I had forgotten to send a reminder - but I needn’t have worried! We were warmly welcomed by all the staff and the bottle cork was popped when we had sat down. Perfect! The food was delicious. Freshly cooked and beautifully presented on warm plates. Perfect. (It’s amazing how many restaurants serve food on a cold plate). It was our first visit and it certainly won’t be our last.

The Whitehall Restaurant is one of the very best places to eat in Leeds. I would say the best but I don’t want it to be difficult for us to get a table!

The chicken was delicious, and the Venison wellington was really good, however, there was a few issues with the other dishes. The black truffle pasta didn’t taste of truffle at all, and we had to ask for more flavouring which came out in the form of truffle oil that we had to mix in ourselves. The sauce was watery and had no depth of flavour. The King prawns and scallops were quite cold, and the battered prawns were overcooked. The service was friendly but average, as they seemed understaffed and left a long time between courses.
