Join us between 12 noon and 5pm in our traditional lounge for a classic and indulgent afternoon of dainty sandwiches, homemade scones, delicious cakes and sweet treats. Bookings must be made at least 48 hours in advance, and a non-refundable deposit of £5pp will be taken to confirm your booking.

Oh dear. Popped in for late Sunday lunch. What was served was unforgivable. .. how the chef thought it was acceptable to serve this is shocking. The service was good but could not excuse this dinner.

I love this place. We had our vow renewal celebration dinner here and have been back on several dates and family dinners since then. The staff are always wonderful and warm, the building is cozy, the food is ALWAYS 10/10, the ambience is perfect and the value is great! I wanna gatekeep this place because I wanna keep it for myself but I can't- book now

The pub looked lovely from the outside & really nice inside. Very clean, warm inside with very welcoming & friendly staff. The afternoon tea was really nice. We both enjoyed our experience & would go back again.

We went on Valentine’s Day. We enjoyed the food. The Valentine’s Day menu was good value, but little had been done to give the doing room valentine day ambience. The service was very good.

The whole meal was fabulous. The server who it turns out is the manager was so friendly and chatty but kept us informed and well fed. This was a last minute get together with friends. We all had steaks which were cooked to perfection and we all like it cooked differently.

A friend and I booked a table for a quiet catch up dinner. The ambience was lovely, just quietly bubbling away, not loud enough to be nuisance but not so quiet that it was a wasteland. The food was exceptional, the Scotch Egg was particularly tasty! By far above all that was the service we received from Meg. Cheery and all smiles from the minute we stepped in to the building to the minute we left. It’s staff like Meg that make all the difference to both the businesses they work for as well as the customers at the bar. She’s a credit to you. Would definitely return to try some more of the great food on the menu. We had a great evening!

The seating was very close together in the lounge and it was cold.Nothing nice regarding decor.The beer battered haddock wasn’t very crispy ,very pale looking and tasted of nothing .The chips were more like frozen French fries the peas and tartar sauce were find .The berry crumble was nothing special and the ginger sponge was strong ginger flavour but basic . The waitress was lovely really happy and bubbly but the food and seating area let it down . I noticed other people leaving their food too .
